I like this litter a lot. I don't really think it's as pricey as everyone claims. I have two kittens and it eliminates a lot of the odor. I love that it clumps their urine. You can scoop out urine and poo so I think it helps with overall smell of the litter box. As far as the price, I refused to buy anything cheap and wanted the best litter and I think I've found it. So the price doesn't matter to me. ;)

As amateur cat owners (I went from violently allergic to cats, to the owner of two strays in the house, in the space of a year, and am still not sure how it happened), we do things wrong all the time. For example, we are supposed to have one litter box per cat. We don't. We just have one. It's in the basement, as far from the rest of our lives as possible, yet we constantly had problems with odor. This is the first cat litter that I can honestly say I'm happy with (if it is possible to be happy about anything related to cat poop). It seems to last longer than any other clay-based litters we have tried, and the cats have quit pooping outside the litter box. Odors are not a problem as long as I keep up with the scooping schedule. It also is not overly perfumey like some, where you walk into the house, smell the perfume and immediately start looking for cats. I can recommend it. It's rather pricey, but as I say, lasts longer than others, so it probably comes out about even. Go with the larger bag for better economy. It's so nice having it delivered by Amazon rather than schlepping it myself from a shop.

Precious Cat Ultra Premium Clumping Cat Litter is the best stuff on the market and it really deserves 5 stars. There are no perfumes, very little dust, nice clumping action, and nice odor control with average kitty box maintenance. I have luckily found this litter at my local PetSmart, the shipping fees on this product are quite expensive via online sources now (Amazon use to offer free shipping on this product).

This is the best clumping clay litter I have tried, and I think I have tried every litter on the market. I like World's Best Cat Litter because it is light and easy to clean, but many cats do not like the natural corn scent. If your cat prefers clay litter, this one is the best. It's all natural, meaning there are no added chemicals intended to mask smell. You may have noticed that many brands marketed as "unscented" actually still smell quite strongly of perfume! I am not sure why companies do that, but the bottom line is that added scent is for humans, not cats - cats prefer unscented litter. If the litter box stinks, you need to clean it more often, or consider changing your cat's diet to a high quality meat canned food. Covering up the smell with perfume doesn't work and may drive your cat to start avoiding the litter box as the strong chemical smell will irritate her sensitive nose. Dr. Elsey's litter is as dust-free as any clay litter could be. The dust is minimal while filling the ox and when your cat uses it. The clumps formed are tight enough to keep the unused litter clean, but not overly sticky. the texture is just right, according to my cats. if your cat has litterbox issues, Dr. Elsey's also makes a similar litter called Cat Attract, which contains herbs known to attract cats. You can also buy the attractant separately and add to any brand of litter. I tried it and my cats all immediately went to the box and dug around in it. They obviously could smell the powder and liked it!

This was and is very good litter at $13.99. However with the new price and the shipping fees this litter is now almost a dollar a pound. I love my kats but not that much. Back to wal-mart for me.
