I have tried this cat litter, plus the Tidy Cats Multiple Cats formula, and I have to say that they are horrible. This is the worst cat litter I have ever tried! The cat urine does not clump - it falls apart when trying to scoop it, and the amonia smell is almost nausiating. It wafs through the room even with a closed litter box (with a carbon filter) and an air purifer right next to it! It also seems to leave a large mess behind - either from cat paws or because I am trying to scoop urine. Either way, I will NEVER buy a Tidy Cats product again! The only plus I can see is the container. It's easier to carry and comes in a more managable size for carrying up stairs. If you are looking for a respectable clay litter, I recommend Scoop Away or Fresh Step with Carbon Crystals.

3-4 weeks ago, my better mannered kitty, Figger started running around the house with a wet, littery back paw. I've been chasing him and washing it off. I don't want him ingesting the litter, etc. Yuck! I was worried about his being sick or having behavior problems. My better half handles the litter with his pride and joy, Ta Da! -- The LitterRobot. I didn't think about the brand of litter until I finally took him by the paw to go to the LitterRobot and see what was happening. Figger did everything just fine, but the Tidy Cat Scoop was horrible. His pee just sat on top. No wonder he got a wet, gloppy paw. Poor pussy cat. Tidy Cat Scoop is the least scoop-able litter I have ever seen! MAC and Figger p.s. Just discovered that the better half got a deal on two more 25 lb. containers of Tidy Cat Scoop with 3 bonus pounds!

I have to keep one litter box in a spare bedroom due to one cat being picked on by another. I LOVED Fresh Step, but I noticed in that room there was a recurring film of dust all over everything that smelled like the litter. I decided to try Tidy Cats to see if I had the same issue. There was less dust, but stuff does NOT clump well at all! It was all but impossible to scoop out the "clumps" without it breaking and falling into the clean litter. Who is giving this 4 stars is beyond me. BTW-I tried their "Small Spaces" brand. It does the same thing. I'm amazed anyone buys this. I'm now using "Scoop Away", and it scoops very well, but the dust is back. Sigh.

Tidy cat clumps pee easily and leaves the area around the box with minimum grit from cat's paws. The biggest advantage I've seen over other brands tried, is that our cat pees inside the box instead of outside the box. The only "con" I have against the product is that it is dark in color and looks like dirt, but that could be more to the cat's advantage than to mine.

I have two cats and this is the BEST cat litter on the market...it controls odor...easy clumping...and it goes a long way! I started the cats on this product as kittens...went to an automatic litter box (what a mistake that was and costly) and went right back to Tidy Cat! It is a great product...Highly recommended...

I have 1 cat and I have found that the immediate odor control is better for eliminating odors than the long lasting odor control (which says it is designed for multiple cats) This is a great litter for the price and I have tried a lot of them. Great clumping, great odor control, and most stores carry it in my area.

I have tried several brands and formulas for kitty litter. This one is easily the best. Its easy to clean, clumps well, and most importantly prevents odor amazingly well. The odor is better with this than when I had an automatic litter machine.
