These speakers are great. I paired them with all Polk speakers for a 7.1 setup and I am not disappointed. Last night I cranked the system for the first time and they delivered crisp, clean sound. I did end up getting the Polk 10" sub. Without the sub, they do well but they don't shake the ground during explosions or heavy action scenes. For me, the midtones are where they shine. This speaker fills in the gaps! I'm not much of a tactful reviewer but I highly recommend spending a little more on these over the RTi8 units. I am soooo satisfied.

I ordered these after a lot of homework on Infinity/Polk comparison. Finally i purchased the RTi10s and i am quite pleased. I use the bi-amping feature and the serve as my two front channels. After a lot of deliberation and reading all the good and contrary reviews i am glad i made this purchase (they arrived in good time). Be sure to ming the measurements as these are fairly tall standing floor speakers. So much so that as they sit next to my flat screen they prevent me from turning the TV to the side (just 1 ft too tall and of course i mounted the tv before owning these items..small loss). But i am quite pleased as i felt they filled in the surround sound speakers lack of mid range for music and straight stereo applications.

I just purchased a pair of the Polk RTi-10's through Amazon at an unbelievable price. They are replacing a pair of very good Infinity RS-5,s,which will be used elsewhere in my home. The RTi-10,s are are excellent!! They are as good or better than speakers costing much more. Now, here's the bonus--- Polk through in a free PSW-10 subwoofer!! It was like Christmas in February.

For some reason hardly anyone makes large traditional box speakers anymore. You can either buy tower speakers, or bookshelf speakers. I needed something that would fit in a space no wider than 8 inches. I bought these and they sound wonderful. The mid ranges are very present and not drowned out by a lot of over done base. I guess if you want a thump box, then either get a sub woofer or look elsewhere. Once I got the speakers out of the box, the feet attach easily, but they also make the speaker width not 7.75 inches, but add 1.5 inches to each side of the base. You must connect the feet so the speaker will set level on the ground because of the front face plate is lower than the speaker enclosure. To solve my problem I made my own feet out of a 2x4 that bolts to the speaker in the same way the polk feet do, but also have four 2" deck screws that run thru the 2x4 and leave a half inch spike in the bottom. They are much less stable this way, but my speakers fit inside a wall cavity and can't be tipped over due to the wall, so it works for me. The speakers are set up for Bi-Amping. Currently I only have one amp feeding them and need to read up on how to get the full sound out these speakers, even though they sound wonderful now. I'm very happy with them. Bach sounds great, so does Paul Simon, and the Police.

It was a very good choice to go for the polk rti10. The price/quality is very good. Harman Kardon HK3485 High Current Stereo Receiver with these speakers, i like the sound very much. It only lacks a little bit of bass. I was going to buy kef's, but now i saved money and i'm happy.
