First, I would like to preface that I am not the type of person to write reviews. Despite being a tech entrepreneur, I am rarely impressed or unhappy enough with a particular product to spend the time writing something about it. That said, I highly recommend that you do not purchase this dog food for your dog. Initially, my girlfriend and I fed our dog a very expensive wet food brand. After about a year of owning our Maltipoo, we figured we would switch to a dry dog food to save us a little time and money (defrosting and preparing the wet food could be time consuming). Having received a recommendation from a close friend, we thought we would give Wellness a try. The brand seemed to be big on the natural ingredients and it seemed like more of premium (i.e., I care about my dog) brand, and I suppose we liked that. HOWEVER, after roughly three weeks into the food, our dog got as sick as we've ever seen her in her one year life time. Thinking it was the treats we were giving her, we continued to feed her Wellness. Over the next couple of days, we stopped treating her completely and continued to give her Wellness. She continued to get sick, each time more violent than before. She was vomiting and dry heaving like we had never seen her. Extremely worried, we took her to the vet who induced her to vomit until she had nothing in her stomach. Our vet recommended we put her on a chicken and rice diet for the next week or so and monitor the results. Thankfully, our dog has been fine ever since. We have even begun to treat her again and there have been no problems whatsoever. We've thrown away every bit of Wellness dog food we've owned and have tried our best to spread the word. Vet costs included, the most troubling thing about this experience was seeing our dog as sick as she was - it was extremely scary and sad and I don't wish it upon any dog. If you are even slightly considering this dog food, the please, please consider something different for the sake of your dog. I have included links to YouTube videos that you guys can watch at your convenience. Thanks for listening and enjoy your wonderful pets.http://bit.ly/nRvn4http://bit.ly/Jmbza

One of my favorite brands, even if they did dilute the formula a bit for the national Petco expansion. Still light years ahead of 99% of the foods on the market.

My young dog has a sensitive stomach, so to speak. On the wrong food he will vomit daily or, at the very least, have room-clearing gassy eipsodes. On Wellness we have experienced no issues. We have tried both Wellness Super 5 and Wellness Core. He loves both and does well on them.My dog's coat is shiny, skin is healthy, his stools are firm and small, no room-clearing gas, and his energy is very good.My older dog has just recently started on Wellness Core (reduced fat) and is doing well. No signs of tummy troubles and he's loving the food.

I think this food is pretty great. I just can't afford to buy it. So I buy a few cans and give my dogs a few spoonfuls a day. My young guy loves that stuff! I'm a 30 lb+ bag buyer and I have to buy 2 bags a month. They have great marketing, too.

My 55# standard poodle loves this brand so much that we actually use it as "treats" for her. If she gets a bowlful, she will eat it so quickly that she will vomit it all back up. There is something in there that she loves and she makes a pig of herself with it. We now use 1/6 Wellness, 5/6 Kirkland Chicken formula (she does not tolerate Lamb at all). This is wonderful food, maybe too wonderful! For the price, it may be worth it for a smaller dog that eats much less. For our dog, 3 cups a day is a substantial cost, especially if she inhales it then throws it back up. She also vomits if she drinks icy cold water, or icecubes. If given in small increments throughout the day she tolerates this brand very well, , or cut with other foods that she is more apt to eat 'like a lady'.

This dog food is to hight in Calcium, Phosphorus and Protein!!! Which won't hurt your dog short term but in long term puts your pet at risk for Kidney Disease.

I've done a lot of research and this is one of the best all natural dog foods out there. My dogs love it, their skin is great, no stomach problems and they are so happy and healthy thanks to Wellness! I RECOMMEND THIS TO EVERYONE WHO HAS DOGS!!! Try their treats too (Old Mother Hubbard)

Boxers are known for being susceptible to gas. My Boomer is aptly named, but since switching to Wellness dry with about a third of a can of Wellness canned food, fed once a day, he stays slim, energetic and blessedly flatulance-free. I also note, over a few months, that skin bumps are disappearing. I've tried several top brands, and this seems the most healthful.

My pug had stomach problems and I have tried every food out there. The only thing that worked was Science diet until I found this one. Its more natural and my dog does enjoy eating it more and have not had any problems since I switched a couple of years ago. Love this brand.

Wellness has taken an already great product and improved it even further. I initially tried introducing Wellness to my black lab in 2003 and found her to be intollerant of the Lamb formula. So i put her on another food all the while hoping the Wellness formula would change a tad so i could try her on it again. I transitioned her onto the new Wellness about two weeks ago and she is doing fantastic!! She has a lot of food allergies and sensativities, but we have found the new and improved Wellness to work wonderfully for her. The high quality ingredients really do make a world of a difference - especially for a working dog!
