I have (had) a 300+ LaCie that's been giving me "issues" and decided to replace it with this drive. I was pleasantly surprised at the size of this drive - about half the size, or better than the 300 Gigger.

The drive is fast and quiet >> no muss - no fuss.

Excellent value.

I have had this a week and it has already died. It will write to the drive and then when you go to access the data it is either gone or inaccessable.

Well it looks nice anyways. Looking back I am kind of glad it died, it doesn't have a fan and the case is metal.

I order this drive for my wife as she needed more hard drive space for her
computer. The drive is easy as they come and works great, just drag and
drop couldn't get any easyer then that. My wife was able to put her
iTunes, movies and music library onto the drive. In fact thinking of
ordering another.

but ii will be more idea if its size could be smaller and weight could be lighter

I needed some more room and protection for my pictures. I have downloaded all of mine, my wifes, all my children (I have 6 )and the rest of my family's pictures on my hard drive and have been afraid of something happening to the computer and loosing everything. It was a simple to transfer all the pictures on to the Iomega drive and now I can relax. It cleaned up about half of my hard drive and my computer seems to run faster also. Thanks Ed French Quinlan TX
