Do Tell 5

If party games are for breaking the ice, than this game cuts right to the chase. The funnest way to get to know new acquaintances, old friends, family, and even things about yourself. But unlike most "party games", this game is designed to go beneath the surface. After playing, leave with a deeper understanding of all the those you shared this game with. A very rewarding experience for all involved.

Do Tell 5

I was at a "Do Tell" party and met two people that I later became good friends with. They aren't the kind of people I would normally meet or even be interested in getting to know, but playing "Do Tell" with them got me motivated to set up a date for a hike. Many hikes, dinners and "Do Tell" game nights later, our friendship has deepened and solidified. Now I'm starting to get to know their friends, too. I'm buying "Do Tell" for everyone I know--great to have on hand for spur-of-the-moment gift-giving. Also, I never get bored because it never repeats itself...ever.

Do Tell 5

We did not know what to expect when our son gave this as a gift for us last Christmas and now it is the highlight of our montly dinner club get togethers. This is a fun and entertaining way of getting to know your old and new friends. Play with caution because you will get addicted.

I was looking around for a new game to play with friends when I host parties. Oldies-but-goodies are great (Monopoly, Pictionary, etc.) - except while those keep you entertained on a fairly surface level, this game manages to make a game out of hanging out, telling stories, and talking about things that you actually really care about - so it's a whole different experience, entirely, and one that's both hilarious and moving.

I've played with family, friends, roommates, and strangers, and the best thing is that nobody feels awkward - you're always in control of how much you reveal and how daring you want to be. And since your answers to the questions depend somewhat on the people around you, you don't ever feel like you've run out of things to say if you happen to come across the same card twice. Very cool game, and definitely recommended if you want to send your friends home with an experience.

This game is a lot of fun, and spontaneously revealing. The nature of the game and what it brings out in each player creates a dynamic that challenges anew each time it is played. The quirks and turns of the game proceed as life does - unexpectedly, whimsically, and despite ourselves (or what we thought we knew about ourselves and others!). I've bought one for each member of my family.
