 | VirileVagabond (37) 07/26/2006 | Wake Forest is one of the relatively little known jewels of education. The school is well funded, the student body is small (a little over 4,000 undergraduate students) but large enough for a relatively healthy social life, and the curriculum is competitive. Even with its small size, Wake Forest has a strong basketball tradition (being in the ACC) and even manages to field competitive football teams on occasion, something that can't be said for fellow ACC member Duke (for instance). The bottom line is that while Wake is relatively expensive (being a private university), it is probably less expensive than other private schools of its caliber and provides a good mix of academics and athletics.

 | stubailey (4) 01/05/2006 | Wake has come a long way in the past 10-15 years. It is academically now probably the second best school in the ACC (after Duke). Wake is the smallest university in the US which participates in big-time college athletics. The setting is pretty, the students are smart, and the place is only going to get better. Check it out!

 | redneck (0) 08/25/2004 | Well, I was quite a redneck when I went there, but at least now I can communicate as an equal with about any editor of the New York Times, and often recognize their weaknesses. But I'm still a redneck.

 | Mort (0) 01/19/2001 | Any university that allows, and probably encourages a professor to go into a confirmation hearing and blasts a Christian like John Ashcroft needs to take the title Christian out of it's title. We do not need other, so called, Christians giving the atheist and politicos an excuse to blast our efforts to build up this country and it's herecy.

 | jenn4530uk (0) 03/10/2000 | Wake Forest has an outstanding faculty that is very committed to the development of their students both personally and intellectually. The quality of liberal arts education and the opportunities for research that I had as an undergraduate there have made an enormous difference in my life.
