The Carina is lightweight and has great suction. I don't have carpet, but the upholstery tool does a good job of getting cat & dog hair off my upholstered furniture. It's easy to move around and doesn't take up a lot of space. At first having the exhaust on top bothered me (it blows into my face at times) but I'm used to it now. I'm sure it's clean air, being all HEPA filtered and everything.

The Carina is excellent, exceeding our expectations. Light, quiet, with plenty of adjustable sucking power. Am pleased we decided to spend the extra money for this quality. Only wish a full floor brush was included at less than the cost of buying it separately.

I agree with all of the reviewers who really like this machine. It's small, light, has great suction and is versatile on both hard wood floors and rugs. The attachments, however, do seem a little chintzy, maybe to keep the light weight. I guess we shall see in a couple of years how long they last. I used to own a Samsung Quiet Storm, which was much heavier, noisier and was always in need of parts. I think this unit will be a lot better.

I bought this because of all the excellent reviews and was very disappointed. I am sending it back. I had an electrolux canister vac that had a power head and assumed this was the same type of thing. It's not. It does not have a power head and it's very difficult to push and pull across carpet. Plus it's a small head which requires more work to cover the same area. I'm sure it's okay for hard floors but do not get it for carpet floors because you will be sorely disappointed.

Great vacuum--very light which makes it easy to get a job done as a 5'3" woman who hates to vacuum. I've had better vacuums in Germany that were similar, but given that the selection of truly light canister vacuums in the US is sparse, this one does just fine. There are 6 different settings depending on the level of suction, and the attachments worked well for upholstery and crevices.
