This is the 5th lavender scented, eco-friendly liquid detergent we have tried. We prefer lavender for a scent. This one falls somewhere in the middle of the pack. Cleans fine. A little pricey for the quantity. Lasts a decent amount of time per bottle. About average which is just fine.

I had been searching for a non-toxic laundry soap for almost a year and hadn't found anything I really liked until Mrs. Meyers Clean Day Laundry Liquid Detergent. My husband has recently developed chemical sensitivities and can't tolerate most chemical containing products so we have had to eliminate all chemical based products from our home. I bought a case of the geranium scent and it has a wonderfully pleasing scent that is not overpowering. I have a front-load washer and prefer liquid soaps, plus this was recommended for high-efficiency washers. I use white vinegar in place of fabric softener for nice, chemical-free laundry. I will definitely purchase this again! I'm now using Mrs. Meyer's Clean Day liquid dishwashing soap and have been quite pleased with the results too!

Mrs. Meyer's detergent wonderfully cleans clothes and leaves them with a soft pleasant scent and is environmentally responsible too! Highly recommend & a little goes a long way.

I wash almost all of my clothes in cold water and have a water conserving washer with the opening in front. I find that Mrs. Meyers detergent is not getting the odor out of my workout clothes. I am a runner and I sweat hard and have never had a problem removing the odor from my running bras with 7th generation products. I have been adding baking soda to my wash so as not to waste the remaining product, and this takes care of the problem, but I'd prefer not to have to do that. I don't know if it is because I use cold water, but I don't want to switch to hot or even warm as that defeats the purpose of a petroleum free product. I have not noticed anyone else mention this. The scent is nice, but a little strong for my taste. It leads me to wonder if it is intended to cover up odors it can't remove?

For a natural product, this detergent is top notch; I much prefer it to 7th Generation or Trader Joe's brand laundry soap. My only caution to my fellow launderers is that it usually takes an entire capfull of detergent to get stubborn smells out of clothing (if only I could find an all natural deodorant that truly worked!). Fights the stinky as good if not better than the commercial, chemical equivalent - works well in cold and hot water washes, and worth the extra $$$ for the quality of it.
