This product works just as well as the other Tide powders.Powder detergents work very well in my opinion alot better than liquids but they can tend to leave your clothes less soft.So the touch of downy helps leave the clothes softer and the april fresh scent smells very good.I still use softener but since this has a little in it already I only use half as much as I normally would.

it's way too much for me...or it would be good for family of 12 people...

Tide is the best laundry detergent out there. I've been using Tide my entire life (my mom did before I started doing my own laundry). It can handle just about any stain you can put in your clothes if you get it while it's fresh. The only con is you really need measure and not use too much. I have an apartment sized stackable washer and dryer and find that if turn it on and put the detergent in the bottom as it's filling and then add the clothes, I don't get any residue or undissolved clumps. The Downy April Fresh scent is my favorite but is impossible to find in the local discount stores. I highly recommend this.

I love the fragrance of this product. I had a hard time finding it in economical sizes at stores nearby. Its great having it delivered, I never run out or have to search for it.!!

I decided to give bulk powder detergent a try.

Pros:
It smells great. It's a great value for the money. Clothes get clean. The box lasts FOREVER.

Cons:
It's messy. Gets all over the floor of your laundry room, and then if it gets wet, hello - accident waiting to happen. Sometimes it clumps on your clothing if it doesn't get wet, or you have too much laundry in your washer.

The plastic scoop breaks a LOT before you get to the bottom of your box.

My opinion? Try the Tide 2x concentrated. Was voted #1 in Consumer Reports for cleaning action and price per load.

I love this Tide with Downey also. It smells great!!! And washes the clothes good too. I DO NOT LIKE the new 2x liquid detergents that they have came out with to "save plastic". That stuff DOES NOT SUDS up like the old regular liquid bottles did!!!!! So I have moved to the powder verision since it is the same scent & suds WAY BETTER than the 2x liquid. That stuff sucks & does not wash the clothes worth a crap. They are lying when they say it is the same!!!!
