I loved this as a kid, and I despise the Disney adaptations. Milne can be very witty, and is often a long way from cute.

Eeyore, Eeyore is the best character

What's there to say that hasn't been said? I note, however, that along with this 5-star rating I rate the cartoon version, the Disney marketing machine, 1 star. And I fully expect the earth's axis to tilt any day now due to the precession of Milne spinning in his grave over Kellogg's Hunny B's Cereal.

I got this book as a gift when I was 21, a gift because I loved the original Winnie-the-Pooh cartoon. The book's imaginary world flourishes with imaginative creatures with all their little hang-ups and adorable traits. It's good to have a book where the characters aren't perfect, but are lovable anyway. As an adult, I can appreciate the little things that children might miss, but still enjoy the sweet and innocent world of the Hundred-Acre Wood. If you don't like cute things, then you might not like this; but, this classic is enjoyable for anyone who is young and young-at-heart.

A.A Milne's undying classic continues to amaze me. Complete Tales of Winnie the Pooh is probably the most humourus, sweet and intriguing bookcollection out there. I have yet to see more welldeveloped characters. The not-quite-so-brave Piglet, wise Owl, dominering Rabbit, pessimistic Eyore, loving Kanga, excited Ru, energetic Tigger, responsible Christopher Robin and of course the not-too-clever Pooh. And just the fact that there's book upon book by scientist/astrologers etc. trying to make out the symbolic meanings of the tales and the characters makes you realize that these stories have captured the hearts of almost everyone. And with darn good reason too.

I loooove Winnie The Pooh! These books are so well-written, and very imaginative. I especially like the more grown-up humor added in.

I believe that Winnie the Pooh teaches kids about life and friendships. I appreciate the fact he has been around so long. I love his morals.

I'm sure there are many kids around the world who like Winnie the Pooh. That's because the tales of Winnie the Pooh are really great. It is great because the tales and the story are easy to follow and fun. It's all about playing and living together with friends. The Tales of Winnie the Pooh teaches children a lot about the morality of friendship. Also, the pictures, the image of each character are very cute. I like Winnie the Pooh even now, and I'm in college. It's a good book and a good influence on kids.

I still read this and I'm 23! A.A. Milne has created a timeless classic all children (and adults) can enjoy!
