My parents purchased a maytag 4 years ago and have had serious problems with the inside racks rusting since purchase (the plastic/rubberized coating has failed in numerous places). Calls to Maytag have been met with indifference. Their customer service is atrocious... I cannot understand what has happend to this once quality name.

This dishwasher broke within 6 months. The technician is unsure what is wrong with it. The parts that might fix it are on nationwide backorder and unavailable indefinitely. The Maytag call center has not been at all helpful or even sympathetic. They give a different story each day and each phone call as to when the parts might be available. We have decided to purchase a new dishwasher so that we don't have to deal with this appliance or company any more.

Maytag won't stand behind its products. CEO is a moron and doesn't give one rip about what he sells. Should be ashamed of himself.

I had this dishwasher at my last house and never had a problem with it. It's very quiet and the dishes came out clean. We recently built a new house and I bought the GE Cleansteel Quiet II and I'm returning it tonight and buying another Maytag. The GE is loud, the handle broke after a week, and the baby bottles came out with formula still in the nipples. I didn't know how good the Maytag was until it was gone!
