This unit is working well. I traveled 2000 miles and listened to Audio tapes all the time. Good Buy.

I bought the Coby with car kit for one purpose -- to listen to audio books. I was replacing a Sony player that was worn out. I discovered that when I had turned off the player at my destination in the car, and turned it on again that the player started over again on track 1. Not good for listening to a book. I called Coby to see if there was a setting I was missing as my Sony player started where it left off, and they said it would always start over on Track 1 after being turned off. I returned it and may have 10% deducted for restocking. I'll pay more and get a Sony.

Cheaply made, multiple quality control problems:
1. The car kit adaptor did not work in the cigarette lighter.
2. The latch did not hold - constantly popped open during play in vehicle.
3. Tendency to skip.
A complete waste.

I bought 2 of these players for christmas for my 2 daughters. 4 months later neither one of them work. I called Coby about the warrenty. They only have a 90 day warrenty. So I am out everything! I will not EVER buy ANY of thier products again!

Apparently they don;t make many of these any more. The quality is good but the unit is missing an important feature that the Sony which it replaced had, namely that your place on the cd was saved when you started again. The instructions don;t mention this and they don;t respond to my emails so I assume you are expected to write down the time for next play.
