But it works pretty good. You do have to put in the 10 D batteries even though it's plugged into an outlet to get the best sound. I'm not sure I'd recommend it if you had the resources to get something better. I didn't, but for what it cost, I'm not unhappy.

when it records from line-in it also records from the mike at the same time, which is not what i wanted, it didn't say it was a karaoke recorder, returned it and got most of my money back.

I really like this boom box. It didn't cost alot and it does everything I like to do when I record with an external microphone. Not to many boomboxes have that feature. My first boom box did but it bit the dust. I was very happy when I found it on Amazon .com.

This product was not AT ALL what I expected. It is nothing more than old cheap technology in a new technology wrapper. I have a shower radio that sounds better. It has NO notable powered sub function. It's sonic qualities don't exist. I would like to return it. It's crap.

The Coby CX-CD282 Boombox has a muted boom (it's ok, but not earth shattering), fairly convenient controls and an adequate CD and tape player. I was somewhat disappointed with the analog AM/FM tuner, it didn't pick up as many stations as a cheaper radio, and the stereo effect was not obvious, but since that wasn't the primary reason for my purchase, I'm not going to complain. Sound quality was adequate, but not outstanding. Tone controls primitive.
