Bettie didn't have the easiest life, but seemed to find some peace in the later stages of it. Her glory days pre-dated my adolescence, but I discovered her photos later in life and was amused by her fun-loving appearance in the most bizarre of shots. A huge difference from modern pornography, which is not only immensely more explicit but the participants look driven by morbid desperation.

Bettie Page was before my time, but her image is iconic. Her disappearance and reported craziness probably only helped her become a legend rather than just some other gorgeous pin-up who lost her look as she got older.
