I'd highly recommend avoiding tattoos on the face, neck, hands and forearms for this reason. It probably wouldn't look good to be trying to get a job as a kindergarten teacher if you've got tattoos sticking out of your sleeves or the neck of your shirt. Of course if your trying to get a job as a motorcycle mechanic, they might actually increase your credibility.
