I was really happy about this buy for my daughter's birthday. It was easy enough to put together. But it is also really easy to take it apart. my daughter is artistic. my son is mechanical. She draws on it. He takes it apart. Over and over. He is 3. It shouldn't be THAT easy to take apart! Also a complaint, the chalk board. I hoped to be able to get a lot of use out of it because I can leave the chalk out without worry of having walls/furniture ruined as crayons or markers will do. But no go. It just doesn't work. Threading the paper through the cutter is pointless. I wish I had bought paper pads instead of a big pack of the rolls. I think if I had to do over again, I would have gotten a different easel.

This was a decent easel for about 2 months until one of the trays broke. This really messed up the stability of the whole unit. Then about an month later one of the side braces broke off and we had no choice but to throw it away. we then purchased a plastic one (i think it was made by Step2) which was a lot more sturdy.

We bought this easel for my 2.5 year old daughter for Christmas last year. She LOVED it, and still does. We did not have any problems with the chalk board like many of the other reviewers. The easel is very sturdy and the trays are very handy to hold all of her materials. We got the companion set of triangular chalk, crayons, paint, brushes and spill-proof cups. It is fantastic! The triangular shape is such a great idea - no chalk and crayons rolling away and breaking. I will say that the paint has a strong odor. She only paints outside on the deck because of the smell and the mess. After a year, she still plays with the easel a few times per week. And an added perk, she developed her fine motor skills, shape and color-recognition very early.

My 20 month old daughter received this for an early Christmas gift this year. She is very interested in crafty things and this will definitely grow with her. It is adjustable for height which is an added benefit. As for durability, we will wait and see!

We bought this easel for my daughters (age 6 & 7) last Christmas. As I am starting my Christmas shopping this year and really looking over reviews before I make my purchases, I realized that I should give feedback on some of the things we purchased last year. This easel is very versatile: chalkboard, dry erase board and paper allow for all kinds of artistic expression! Some of the features I appreciate: adjustable legs, paper roll in between the easel boards, shelves for paint, dry erase markers and chalk. We purchased the paint and chalk supplies as well, and I really like the paint dispensers. Even my 2 year old son likes the easel. It's well balanced too, we have never had it collapse (like another cheaper brand that was purchased for my nephew did). Great product for the price!!
