I tried this glove on at a local sports store before buying it online, and for the price, this glove is AWESOME. Now, I'm use to wearing cheap gloves that feel like plastic, or old gloves that have been folded flat in 1/2 for years, so when I put this thing on it is like luxury.

It catches great, and took only a few games to break in pretty good. It's very soft, with a great pocket. But, the best thing is definitely the way it fits, nice and snug, like a winter glove.

It does seem a tad more heavy than my last glove, but my last glove was a flimsy piece of crap, so I'm very happy with the DeMarini Diablo.

Pros - very comfortable (almost feels like putting your fingers in memory foam); finger holes not spread too far apart (like in other gloves); lightweight; velcro strap for easy on/off + adjustments; ECCO leather: soft, easy to break in and seems high quality; attractive styling

Cons - strictly his preference: while this glove is not cheap feeling like most other gloves in this price range and lower it felt like a "plastic-vinyl-leather" combination material which makes a squeaking sound when closing the mitt around the ball, he prefers the feel and "popping" sound of "old-school" leather; top of the web is smooth which did not help secure what would've been some "sno-cone" catches; pinky interference (read below)...

My husband purchased this 13" Diablo glove for rec league softball (plays SS, 3B and 2B). He thought it was remarkably more comfortable than most gloves in this price range. What was disappointing is the design - the "pinky" curls-in, hanging over the web a bit which interferes with the ball path of the ball. It may very well be the way he catches the ball. While it doesn't happen all the time it happens enough to annoy him.

Overall, high marks for comfort, but design not suitable for the way he catches - ended up returning it. Disappointing b/c he really did like it - 4 out 5 stars.

He went with the Mizuno MVP GMVP1300. It was pricier but no pinky interference. He's happy with his decision so far...

I wanted a pretty nice glove for my softball league and splurged on this, hoping that it would suit me. Boy do I not regret it. First, it's the most comfortable glove I have ever put on. It's got padding on both sides to create a nice fit. I can't even stand to put on someone else's glove because they feel so rough and flimsy. Also, I can catch it right on the palm where most gloves would cause a lot of pain, but with this one, you barely feel it. It seems durable, but I've only had it for a couple of months, so I can't really say. I hope it's durable because I love this glove.
