Oster Wine Opener Electric Rechargeable Cordless

We were skeptical when we first bought this product. We have had several cork/bottle openers over the years and I've never been very impressed with them.

I unpacked this little beauty, charged it, placed it on the exposed cork and pushed the button. It extracts the cork out with no problem. Push the other side of the button and it ejects the cork. What, I don't have to sit there and twist the cork off? Sweet...

We have now had this unit for about 2 years and it works as good as the first day. We usually use it 3 to 4 times a week. It works on every type of 'cork', even the synthetic types. Just like any cork screw do not use it on older brittle corks. Use a cork remover meant for older corks. If the cork leaves any parts of it inside the unit then extract them before you use it again. it's no big deal and happens rarely. I am a Quality Assurance Engineer and very critical in my product reviews but this product just works - well beyond my expectations.

This is the nuts! I have arthritis in my hands and it's very hard for me to use any other wine opener. It's so easy even my wife now opens our wine. I highly recommend this product.

Do not buy: Worked about 6 times and that is it. Now it goes through the cork and stops. Will come out of the cork in reverse. When tried again goes into the cork fine then stops again. These were not the hard rubber corks but regular corks. Returning it today.

My sister always complained that she had trouble opening wine bottles so I purchased this for her for Christmas. She absolutely loves it!! It works great and now no more problems!!

I bought this product after reading the glowing reviews and in fact gave 4 as Christmas gifts. After a 24-hour charge, the opener failed to enter the cork after successfully removing the 1st 4 bottle corks. I then set it on recharge for another 6 hours and it still did not have sufficient power to remove the next cork. I plan to return the product and ask for a refund. This opener is a dismal disappointment to me, and I am embarrassed that I burdened my friends with this weakly powered opener. Bob E
