I remember Ekaterina's heartfelt performances on ice with her late husband, Sergei Grinkov.  She also shows versatility in that she can skate solo, as well, which she had to learn after Sergei passed away so tragically.  Her first solo performance was dedicated to him, in which she did a routine as though Sergei was with her.  It was a very moving piece.  Afterward, she went on to learn true solo skating, and it didn't seem to take long for her to fall into place.  Daria, her daughter, now seems to be following in the footsteps of her parents.
