I have a lot of thick, long, hair which does not like to stay curled. This has been the first inexpensive curling iron to work on my hair. It gives me neat sprial curls from top to bottom. I've read some of the other comments regarding a dent that the iron can leave...I've never gotten the dent...maybe its the way they position the iron.
I also recommend using Salon Grafix's freezing hairspray if you have difficulty getting your hair to hold a curl. This has been the only hairspray that holds my hair.

The iron heats up quick, it also has the turbo heat option which allows it to heat up in a minute.

I would recommend this iron for anyone!

I got this iron at a local CVS, and I LOVE it!! It takes a few times to figure it all out and know the different ways of using it.
It's simple, but if you want to know more styles, google it.
I just did my hair with this exact one, and I LOVE that it heats up so fast (watchout for young ones or pets- both are curious) and even if you leave for a second, when u come back it's HOT. Which for me, is a wonderful feature.
The only "bad" thing about it, is that your hair gets stuck in between those little spiral things going up it and rip out a good bit out hair.. at the end of doing this- i had a handful of my own hair in peices from getting stuck inside the spirals.
But my hair looks awesome!!!! Only took me 60 minutes!! Hehe.. well that's good for me, because my hair is well below my waist.
If I went back in time with the knowledge of this product now, and KNOW it 5 years ago- yes I'd have still gotten it.

I've had this curling iron for about 3 years now, and I have gotten so much use out of it. No other curling irons or curlers worked on my hair that well, then I got this one, and it came out with perfect spiral curls. Whether you want more natural or more tight curls, you can do either, depending on how long you hold the curling iron in your hair. Not only did I use this on my hair, but my friends and I were constantly getting together to use it for dances at our school and other things like school plays. Or just whenever we felt like having curly hair! I strongly reccomend buying this product, as it lasts a long time and works really well.

I'm a hairdresser and not only is it hard to use on yourself but it's equally hard to use on someone else. It truly sucks.
