We LOVE these toys! You need to increase the size of the treat inside and or add a semi-moist treat (like peanut butter) if you have a dog that gets the treats out to easily. If a dog has chewed the toy it is probably because your have put too large a treat inside and your poor dogs was too frustrated! Pay attention to your dog and what he/she needs!!! These are super challenging toys and keep my dogs busy for hours. They are very durable, but if you have a "destructo dog" then be smart - don't give them a treat-release toy for jaw exercise - get them a solid rubber chew toy instead and make these an activity toy instead of a floor toy. It is important to find the right sort of toys for your dogs needs. My dogs are smart and curious and medium chewers (not destructos) and these are their favorite toys ever!

We have 4 canine genius Leo's. Our Vizslas get the food out in a heartbeat, and no I dont think it is cute to think "gee my dogs are sooo smart..." the food basically falls out of these flimsy things very easily, no matter why size or shape you put inside. The Kong balls work much better. The Canine Genius cost almost twice as much (fad) and fall apart much easier.

This toy was poorly reviewed before as being not-so-nondestructible but anyone must know that a dog can chew anything. I'm a dog trainer by trade and I recommend brain puzzles like this to all of my dog owners. The dog shouldn't be left to his own devices with such toys after the food has been eaten from it or it will get destroyed, after all the dog will think if he rips it open possibly more food will come out! Great for dogs that bore easily and something new and fun to do. Only serve while being supervised!

My herding mutt loved playing with this toy- for one afternoon. It took him about 4 hours to get the cup of dry food out. Then it took him less than 1 hour to chew half the neck off. The idea was great, but the material itself won't stand up to intense chewing. It was a waste of $20 and a huge dissappointment.
