I just don't get it... D1 sports, campus in the center of Atlanta, lots of Fraternities and Sororities; yet NO FUN WHATSOEVER! Think I'm kidding? Take a ride through campus on a Saturday night... you'll see like a dozen people (who probably just came from the library). Don't come here if you want a school with some spirit and enthusiasm. You'll get a great education here and a great job afterwards... but there a plenty of good schools where you can get a great education and have some fun while you're there as well. My $.02

You might not get want you want, here. But you sure as hell get what you need. 4.0gpa high school students will make great 2.5 gpa graduates (just tell any prospective employer you got above a 2.0 & they'll tell you 'Oh, that's like an 'A' anywhere else). The campus used to be like an island between 'crack-villages'. Today, I think it's got better living & more to do. But if you aren't on the conservative-side & want to enjoy your college years - don't go to this school. The academics are great - the lifestyle kinda sucked. Go to Univ of FLA, it's got a pretty good engineering/ architecture program + you'll get laid more. Your Bud: George P. Burdell.

Great engineering school, but if you care anything about athletics, forget it. Plus, the location is bad... I wouldn't want to go to school in downtown Atlanta.

Went for 2 years. Not a student-friendly environment and you will get shafted but as an older, wiser person, I realize that's life. I didn't learn too much but if you are truely passionate about engineering, this is the environment to be in. You'll work real hard and get a lot of respect with this degree just because you have to go through so much sh** to get it.

I agree with the comments on social life, but Tech's engineering program is top-notch. The school's reputation has helped me out tremendously.

Georgia Tech is great. Where else can you go to a a top 50 nationally recognized university for about $20K a year out of state? People at Tech are hard workers, incredibly smart, and very diverse.

GT is the best colege! With awsume education! For all these jerks that are dissing GT your just jealous that you were not smart enogh to get the honor to go there!

Georgia Tech is a great engineering school. Regardless of how well you did in high school, you are just average at GT which can take some getting used to. The name alone is worth all the hard work.

If all you care about is Engineering then this is the place for you. But if you are interested at all in a well-rounded education then go some place else. There is definitely the sense that we are only here to pay them money and that's all they care about. Why else would the focus be more on how much your grade is going to be curved instead of learning the information?

Georgia Tech offers the best technical degree you can get for your money. Among the best 5 technical institutions in the nation. The education here is recognized throughout the world. The culture and experience are priceless.

Georgia Tech - #1 engineering school.

Georgia Tech's entertainment reeks with cultural bias. If you can survive it, the name on the degree makes it worth it.

Campus is nice, but sidewalks need repair. Nice to be in old classrooms, gives a sense of history. People study too much!

Georgia Tech has good engineering programs and facilities but they should show more concern for the students. Its part of the daily life to get shafted at Tech in grades, housing, or anything! They just want our money.
