I'm no plumber. In fact, I'm not the least bit handy. And, I have no expertise in this area. However, I'll just tell you what I do. It works for me. Wait till the sink is drained, or bail it out if you have to. Then poor in the liquid plumber and let it just sit. Meanwhile, boil a pot of water. Like a big soup pot. Then, after the liquid plumber has been doing it's thing, absorbing it's way into your clog, for a good fifteen or twenty minutes, you poor in the boiling water. It does something, activates the chemicals or something, but the combination seems to work well. But wait till the kids are asleep or at a neighbors house, burns from scalding water and chemical burns are no joke. Sorry, I wouldn't have slept well though if I didn't throw that in.
