I genuinely loved my time at Tulane. I spent four of the best years of my life there, thats for sure. The education I received is stellar and I count myself lucky to be one of the thousands of people to walk across that stage at the New Orleans Arena and become a Tulane grad. However, the changing policies of the past two years (post-Katrina) have taken away some of the many things I loved about the school (including Newcomb College and the engineering department). Before you go (or send your kid), learn about the policies that will effect you before you go. Just make an informed decision. On the campus tour, get the scoop from older (like senior) students and ask them what changes have been made and what they think of them. Because, while most new students wont know the difference between old policy and new, those types of changes are likely to keep happening. So, if you're not happy with them, be aware that such things are going to happen again; at least until the administration listens to the voice of the current students and not just the older alumni with the big pocketbooks (afterall, someday i might have deep pockets, haha!)

My alma mater so I'm biased. I've also been away from the school for over decade so what I know of the school now comes from Alumni magazines, requests for donations, alumni social events and news from fellow alums. Tulane is a great school where you can get an excellent education. The school's name and reputation carry a lot of weight in the working world as well. Tulane is great if you're a Business, Law or Med. school major. Architecture and Engineering schools are top notch as well. Tulane is located in New Orleans , which is just icing on the cake on how great the school is. Going to school and being able to experience four years of Mardi Gras and Jazzfest? Sign me up ! One criticism is that the school postures itself on par with Vandy, Duke, Stanford, etc...it's not quite there ( yet). Still, this is a great school to go to if you want to get away from home, live in a party city, get a quality education and have the time of your life.

This school has potential to be the most amazing place to spend the next four years of my life. It is such a shame to put this opportunity to waste, because i have not been able to get out of my dorm for fear of being attacked by all of the she-apes running around on campus. What horribly ugly girls we have here. We recently were given a 60 million dollar grant and if they would put that to buying some attractive girls or campus plastic surgery i may consider staying here.

My experience at Tulane changed my life. I truly lived in one of the most amazing cities in the US for 4 years and gained a top notch education at the same time. The student body is from all 50 states, tons of Latin American students, and quite a few french kids! Amazing opportunity to live in a quasi-European city with Americans from all over and a big dose of interesting non-natives!

Tulane is a wonderful school! New Orleans is so beautiful and interesting. Mardi Gras is amazing! The classes are challenging, professors get to know you and by the time you graduate you will count them among your friends. I graduated a year ago and still keep in touch with my profs. The name is well respected and it's a great feeder school to top grad programs.

Tulane was a fantastic experience! New Orleans is a beautiful city and the campus is in the nicest part of town. Classes are small, professors are friendly and encourage you to visit them during office hours. The student body is from all 50 states and quite a few other nations. Overall excellence is to be expected from Tulane!
