My 2 cents:I appreciate seeing comments in the stream.

You get used to the changes and I suppose it is fine in the long run. I miss some of the functions of the V2 upon which I have commented before.
I am tempted to cut the comments out of the river, but then I am afraid that I will miss something.

It seems to work well, and I somewhat like the comments showing up in the river, although that can get a little old on some of the busier (often political) reviews.UPDATE: I've been thinking about the recent not so friendly arguments about why the site may not be as interesting as it once was, and I think I may have figured out part of the problem. It's the comments. The fact that you can now see comments in the river means that arguments that are propagated in the comments don't die as quickly. Instead of it just going back and forth between the original reviewer and the person who left the comment, the whole RIA community can get drug in, resulting in reviews having 50+ comments, where in V2 the same review might have 5 or 6 comments. Maybe this site would be better if comments no longer appeared in the river, as the focus would no longer stay on the same review for a couple of hours at a time.UPDATE #2: The stuff that has been appearing in my river today definitely reinforce my belief in what I said above.

Same same, but slow...

I don't know if this is a bug or not, but as I was typing a comment I somehow dragged code from the "finish!" box into the comment box. . Like this. That shouldn't happen, should it?.javascript:__doPostBack('ctl00$ConBody$ItemRatingD ialog$SaveButton','')javascript:__doPostBack('ctl00$ConBody$ItemRatingDi alog$SaveButton','')

I liked V2 one better. This almost reminds me of like a betta version or something lol. Its not bad, just have to get used to the new set up. On a plus note, glad to see the disagree button back. Good job.

I assume this means commenting on individual reviews, not on the change as a whole. I don't see a lot of difference in the means of making comments, and I suppose some like the ability to have them in the "river" of stuff. Personally, I filter them out.

The home page won't load for me, is anyone else having this problem?
abichara 01/12/2009
Still getting used to it, but I think we'll all adapt. I like that the recent comments are shown right on the front page as we enter. It is also easier to "speed rate" any given list, now that we don't have to go to each individual item's page just to leave a comment.

Its different and will take some getting used to, but that is standard for a design change in such a familiar website. I think it will be just fine as users get used to it.

V3 means to me:1. Very confusing.2. Very lonely.3. Very aseptic.I feel like I should spray Windex on my computer screen before I post this.

I'm already in love with how comments in the river came out on the final site. I've been able to drop into a bunch of funny conversations that I'd never have seen on the old version of the site.

I really like the new design. I think given time, that V3 will work out just fine. I have been finding it very interesting. And it's really not hard to navigate, either.

Is it just me being a retard or does it take 5 times longer to give someone a helpful vote now? I've certainly become cheaper on giving my helpful votes today since my network speed at work is like baby crawling (and falls on his face once in a while).Edit: one extra star for the ability to double, triple vote.

Browsing and navigation is a little easier than before, and topics are orderly. A good site just got better.A few things may take some getting used to, but everything will naturally fall into place as I get the feel of the new improved Rateitall.
ILikePie 01/12/2009
This is good, as you don't have to open a new tab/page in order to comment people. Also, the page doesn't refresh every time you give someone a helpful vote...
