This really threw me for a loop when I first came on to it. I had to have the lady at the library figure it out for me. I liked the old orange stuff on the previous site. It got my heart pumping a little faster. At my age that is important.

Now that I've used V3 for a while, I think I've formed a real opinion about V3 in general. Overall, I think it's very good. I like the feed, especially the filters for the feed, although I would still argue that my own reviews belong in my feed. The ability to add items even if you don't have a list to add them to is great, and that includes the similar feature for RIA local to add businesses in communities that aren't already on RIA's list. The one real complaint that I have for the overall design of V3 is that it doesn't utilize screen space as efficiently as the old version. There's too much white space. A lot more text fit on the screen in the previous version. For example, if you go to the Hall of Fame page, only the top 20 reviewers fit on the first page. But overall, V3 is pretty good, and with a few more tweaks, I think for the most part it will be better than the old version.

2 1/2 really. I'm getting used to it somewhat, but it's still slower and I liked the old one better. Not that there aren't some good things. The quizzes are kind of neat and seeing who ranks where in catagories other than helpful is interesting. Not sure about the disagrees being called "controversial", but then again what else are you gonna call it. It's okay, but it seems like a lot of work and time was put in for something that really isn't an improvement.

Gotta say, the one thing I don't like is having to sign back in EVERY time I leave the site. What happened to the "Remember my password" option that most sites have. Having to resign in all the time...getting kinda old, but I'll just have to live with it lol. Anyone else having this issue?

Also....I dont like the fact that I have to constantly click a seperate tab (everyone) to check on how my reviews did. It stays stuck on "my feed" WTF? lol. I really don't care for this new make over, I dont care what yall say lol.

To be honest I feel like I'm in limbo. Maybe I'll get used to it soon. For now I'm not as comfortable with the change. Of course I felt that was about cell phones and MTV when they first came out. I may be wwwaaayyy off! I'm a skeptic at heart and hope there is a lighthouse out there to lead me out of this fog.

Not without some glitches, but generally an improvement over V2. Most of my initial difficulties were simply unfamiliarity.

It's pretty good, a mixed bag overall. Expect commentary- filled with apoplectic outrage - that equals, in words, 514 libraries' worth of books...from Inspector Pbeavr.

I'm kinda lukewarm on the general design, but I'm only throwing a two since I haven't made a single penny off of Adsense since this stuff went live. How the hell is RIA making any money if I'm not?

The only problem I'm finding is that I can't tear myself away from it. An already addicting site has become even more addicting.

The biggest plus I've found is that I can read reviews on topics I find interesting, and by reviewers I know to be insightful, without having to surf around for them.

As the last reviewer wrote there is a lot more to get used to. I BY FAR preferred the pop up box to add, edit or remove ratings rather than this smiley star faced character. The new site has also skewed the rating. For example, The Beatles were number one on classic rock musicians and groups with 6700+ ratings for a numerical rating of 3.69. The very day the new version of rateitall comes on it was in fifth place and heaven knows what the numerical rating is because that function no longer exists. There are also no "ratings breakdown to let you know the number of members who assigned a certain number of star(s) rating.

This change is without a doubt a complete failure and a great disappointment to me and my friends. We actually used to have "Rateitall nights" and after dinner with laptops in hand compare reviews and share our opinions of the items available for review. As a matter of fact, many times we actually went out and bought items that we had never heard of to compare and rate them. We would also go to youtube to relisten to classic rock songs to refresh our middle aged memories. They were pleasant evenings that unfortunately have come to an end. Not a one of use can stand this format. We ALWAYS made it a policy to click on the adverts to help the site stay online. These changes will severely impact rateitall in a negative way. Lawrence you should stick by the old adage "if it isn't broke, don't fix it."

There's more to get used to, but I like the added functionality and look of the interface.
