Still waiting for the ratings badges to return. What's the story there?

If I may start a wishlist, can we filter feeds a bit better? For some reviewers, I would certainly like to see when they add weblist items and such, but not for all reviewers. For instance, when Automatt goes on one of his binges it wipes out all kinds of stuff I might want to rate or comment on, but if I had that filter turned off, I wouldn't have found that fun new insulting sports nicknames list. So I'm stuck, and I hate being stuck.

Here is one thing that I'd like to have. Now that we can follow a list by adding a list to my setting, but how about blocking a list? I know we can specify keywords to block topics related to it, but I don't really want to block all the lists related to a topic, only certain lists in that topic that I don't want to see. Can we add that feature in our setting please, please please =D

Update: Ok...I like to see reviews that others are leaving on weblists I have made. The V2 feature to view items reviewed in my lists was very easy to use. I'm not sure if there is an equivalent feature in v3, but I would like to see that option returned. 1/13/2009 - Ok...on to the issue that bugged me today. Creating a list has a new format. Instead of seeing everything at one time, its a multistep process. Its a slight annoyance, but I figure I'll get used to it. As somebody who composes a lot of lists though, I find it annoying that I can't see all of my lists easily. When I click on my lists from my profile page, there are only a few that come up, and I don't have the option to view all of my lists. To see my lists I need to hit view more, and another limited amount show up. This was a very time consuming and annoying detail to me. I'd like to view my lists easier, and its not important that my profile picture is shown next to every single list I've made. One profile pic on the top of the page would probably do. 1/12/2009 - I really don't like how the lists don't show the actual number value for different items. Something that was rated 2.5, appears as just 2 stars. I liked seeing the actual number value. Since part of the redesign was to add more stats, I don't see why this stat, which has been a part of rateitall as far as I go back, has been removed. I would very much like to see this return.

Its early days and I'm sure the folks under the command of Herr Happy Star are working hard to iron things out. I've noticed are that the testimonials are now listed in reverse order on the profile pages which means the most recent ones are at the bottom, I also wonder what the difference between a "fan" and a "friend" is, as some reviewers have different numbers of each. All "friends" appear to be "fans" but not vice versa.Ok, what's with the default setting on location being "Bahrain?" I was surprised to learn that my friend Franks had relocated from Manitoba to a desert clime, but given the weather in Winnipeg this time of year, maybe that's not too surprising. You folks at RIA HQ better be careful however, making one of them there sandy countries fulla oil the default might draw some attention from Homeland Security, or worse still, somebody might show up with a drill rig and start boring holes in your floor.

Now that I've got a bit of the New Technology down, here's my biggest peeve: It's that damn "Everyone" feature. Let's say I'm 2 or 3 "pages" down and I maneuver away from the page to read a comment, or check out a new reviewer...or whatever...in order to come back to where I left off, I have to go back to the top, click on "Everyone" and scroll through the "View Mores" until I find my place. In V2, merely hitting the back button on my browser did the trick. I can flow with the Feng Shui, but that IS a hassle...Am I missing something, here?-------------------------------------------------Another Question: Do we, or do we not yet have the ability to copy and paste a photo into a review? I can't seem to get it to work. Thanks

Sorry to say this, but I had a bad experience trying to post a review for Tacos Mexicali:First, there was no listing for it in the database, shocking given how close it is to RIA HQ, but possible. ;-) 2nd, RIA required me to give a phone number for the restaurant to proceed with my rating, i didn't know the number so i entered xxx-xxx-xxxx. consider relaxing that requirement, phone number is asking a lot, in my opinion 3rd, after I chose the category and sub category for the listing (Restaurants/Taquerias), i got a screen with the RIA top nav and one word... "Error" in bold, here is the link...http://www.rateitall.com/Error.aspx?SystemErrorID%2 0=89461I hope this helps.Cheers

On the home page, when you define your "recent happenings" preferences using the arrow button, those preferences should stay in your profile until you reset them. Currently every time you refresh the page, it goes back to the default setting with every preference clicked. Thats more info than I need/want. I would prefer to set it the way I want it and then just get the info I routinely want (i.e. new comments and quizzes without all the other "stuff")

Lousy format! No ratings breakdownNo longer being able to see the actual numerical rating.Cannot delete a postSmile faced rating format slower and downright annoying.during the transition the ratings were modified. My friends and I have actual screenshots of numerous pages we followed that were pu back online WAY out of order. I will NEVER again waste my time on a site that messes around with results. I know this has happened in the past because of abuse. That is not the case this time.

I wouldn't call this a "bug", but it is no longer very convenient to get to our old comments and ratings. The page loads a few reviews at a time rather than the page-by-page method. However, if this can't be done with the new setup, I would definitely understand, as everything that goes through major changes will always have a few kinks here and there to work out. Like I stated before, it will take some getting used to.

How do you search for a member or a contributor? That used to be in the bottom lines of the old version.
twansalem 01/12/2009
How about the new stuff page? Does that exist somewhere, or are there plans to bring it back? That was one of the best ways of finding new lists on the site.UPDATE: So I noticed something that I find odd, and I suppose would probably be considered a bug. You can choose to follow yourself. At first I thought this was intentional, because your own reviews don't appear in your feed. So I decided to follow myself, in the hopes that my reviews would then appear in my feed. As it turns out my reviews are not added to my feed as a result of this, but it did add to the count of reviewers who follow me. I'm not sure how this was meant to function, but I suspect that it's not supposed to work as it currently does.

Everything seems to be here, apart from the 'Recent Reviews' page. I can get to it if I use the same URL as I did before, but is there a link to it?Other than that, the site has everything and more.
