Vesta is ALMOST great. Funky location, flattering lighting, and mostly great food make for a fantastic first date or impress the out-of-towners dining experience. Don't be mistaken. This is not a fondue place. And even though the dipping sauces are a fun concept, most of them don't enhance the entrees at all. The entrees stand alone just fine, and some sauces (even the recommended ones) seem to interfere. The light curry sauce is an exception, and is so good you'll want to drink it up like soup. Skewered beef tenderloin is butter-soft and divine. Corn samosas make a fun little pocket-style appetizer. Duck and chicken are both moist and flavorful. The lobster hash tastes a little like vomit. Nice idea in theory, but truly awful on a plate. Cheese plate comes with four really strong cheeses. Not for the faint of heart, but great for those with refined tastebuds. The desserts are over-thought with too many incongruous elements, so stick to the more simple ones. All in all, if you make the right choices, you'll have a truly wonderful meal. And if you happen upon the wrong choices, you'll feel a little gipped.

I can see why the Vesta Dipping Grill is one of the hottest new restaurants in Denver. The food is different and delicious, and the atmosphere is very upscale and chic. The main attraction is the wide selection of interesting and often exotic dipping sauces served with the food. After selecting an entree, you decide which sauces you'd like to accompany it. There are suggestions on the menu, and the waiters are ready with additional ideas. My husband and I ate there with another couple, and everyone enjoyed the food, wine, and service. The Vesta Dipping Grill won several awards in Denver's "Top of the Town" issue of "5280- Denver's Mile-High Magazine," including Editors' Choice for Best Chef, Editors' Choice for Top Sinful Dessert, and Readers' Choice for Top Place for a First Date. Highly recommended.
