This is, by far (by leaps and bounds), the best luxury hotel in the world! I have never been treated with as much respect and courtesy at any other hotel--ever! The Loews Hotel, Miami, FL, pales in comparison. From the Chinese cherry oak-ladened lobby, to the Frette-furnished linens in every room, this hotel provides for every luxury amenity that one could ever think of-and then some! Each room is adorned with a 27" Sony TV capable of accessing ever possible channel desired, and a Bose Wave Radio which doubles as an alarm clock, providing you with soothing and exceptional high fidelity. The mini bar is far from mini, providng you with the regular assortment of snacks and sodas. For the more discriminating pallet, there is a broad selection of Italian champagnes and French wines. Wait until you see the bathroom: bamboo-colored marble throughout, with an accompanying full-size tub. Shampoo, conditioner, body lotions and shower gel are provided for by Molton Brown, a notorious English aromatherapy-geared company. The views over the 30' balcony are spectacular! Either side of the balcony is ladened with exotic landscaping to add to the ambiance of luxury. Be sure to visit the onsite spa, ESPA, where you will be treated to apples and green tea refreshments, while enjoying the sauna and steamroom before your "treatment." Whatever you do, do not leave there without enjoying the 55-minute deep tissue massage. This is the most amazing massage you will ever have. I enjoyed it so much so, that I fell asleep--during the actual massage! For kicks, ask to see the Oriental Suite on the penthouse. We are talking about a 2500 sq. foot suite with a 100 foot balcony! This suite is adorned with TWO plasma screen TVs, a 30 x 30 foot media room, replete with various high-end stereo equipment and a 100" Stewart screen with a Dwinn projector! At $4000/night, I am tempted to say that this suite is worth every cent; but I can think of a number of things that I can do for that kind of money! In conclusion, if ever in Miami, FL, and you want to know what it's like to live and be treated like royalty, the Mandarin Oriental is the only choice for true luxury accomodations!
