Boldin's hit was one of the more brutal NFL collisions in recent memory. The hit by Eric Smith was pretty harsh, but Boldin was at an even greater risk because his head and neck had just been snapped forward by the defender who was behind him. The two rapid changes in directions his head took couldn't have been good for him. Boldin was hit so hard, that Smith also knocked himself out briefly and suffered a concussion. It was amazing that Boldin was able to return to play in just a few weeks, especially considering he fractured bone around his eye. Most receivers don't get credit for being tough guys, but Boldin definitely fits that mold after coming back from this hit.

It was a scary ass hit. How he played again just a couple weeks later is beyond me. Check it out...
