This used to be shown around the Holiday season every year. I miss seeing it now and again. Make sure you get the Roz Russell version. There was a later film with Lucille Ball as Mame and it didn't have the spark of the RR version. Good family movie.

A perfect comedy with the fabulous Roz Russell on top form. I never get tired of watching this film, the scene with her friend Vera Charles in the theatre is priceless.

Rosalind Russell did a great job playing Auntie Mame. Patrick Dennis wrote a book about his Love of life aunt Mame. this movie is well done When Patrick has to come and live with his auntie Mame after the death of his father. His Aunt is a unique woman who throws parties just because it is today She has a love for life and has a whole bunch of eccentric friends. this movie starts around the start of the depression. and ends when Patrick is grown and ready to marry.the wrong person a rich spoiled brat, Auntie Mame and freinds helps Patrick to realize this snotty girl would be the wrong person to marry.A good movie with some good actors.

One of the best scenes from any classic movie is the ping-pong scene toward the end of this movie. I laugh every time I see it.
