I made a purchase from the Eddie Bauer Outlet web site and the NEXT day the same items went on sale for 30% off. When I called customer service to make what I believed to be a simple price adjustmet, I was told "sorry, we cant do that". When I e-mailed the customer service department with my concerns, I received a scripted response and my name was spelled incorrectly. I had made several purchases from them in the past but NEVER AGAIN!! The whole experience was a joke!!!I still believe the products are very good, however the customer service needs work.

We purchased an extra-large rolling duffel bag. During its first use on an overseas trip, the weight of items in the bag cased the frame to bend and the bag to drag on the ground. This tore the bag and made it useless. The bag was discarded because its size made it impossible to bring bring home on the plane and very difficult and expensive to mail home. Although we had pictures of the damage, Eddie Bauer has refused to issue any kind of refund or credit unless we can return the bag to them. We could not speak to a customer service supervisor about this (does not speak to customers!), they could not tell us how much weight the bag should hold, and when we finally found someone in the corporate office who would speak to us, she told us that she also would have discarded the bag (but would not give us a refund because we had discarded the bag). We will NEVER shop at Eddie Bauer again.

My husband and I had a terrible experience with an Eddie Bauer retail store. Their "complete satisfaction or full refund" guarantee is a gross misrepresentation boarding on fraud.

In my opinion Eddie Bauer is the most overpriced store in the world! But, they have great quality so it's worth it. To be able to order so much online is so much more convenient than actually going to the store and waiting in line.

Excellent shopping site. If you get a catalog, I strongly suggest using the "Catalog Order" button, the prices are cheaper than the online store. Eddie Bauer Outlet is also a great bargain place. I ordered a number of gifts from Eddie Bauer online this year and I am very pleased. Of course, I had to spend the $100 in order to receive free shipping, and then, if I spent an additional $25, I would get a free tshirt..so of course, I spent an additional $25 that I probably wouldn't have spent in order to get the Tshirt worth about $5..hey, I love to shop. They have an excellent selection, easy to navigate site, helpful tracking and order status screens as well as prompt and efficient customer service. Everything arrived intact and in a very short time. Of course, you can't beat the quality or classic styles found at Eddie Bauer either.

I just went back to Eddie Bauer after not being there for a long time (like 5 years) and I was so surprised to see how they have changed their look. Not so much for men, but they have made some huge improvements in women's clothing. When I saw this, I went to the website and was just as excited about it. Their clothes are inexpensive and last for years. The site is clear and consise, easy to navigate and it is definitely where I will get a couple of gifts this Xmas season.

It's a very valuable website because they have a lot of stuff on sale which is not on sale in the stores. Also, the web site service is excellent; customers get whatever they ordered in the right size and right price. Their total refund program is also good, because customers can compare the price after they've bought something.
