An absolute f***ing nightmare. Inept idiots, with no phone manner, no empathy and no idea what they are doing.I bought tickets for Coldplay about 10 months in advance of their gig, then, in those 10 months moved house and changed bank card (as I'm sure is not an impossible thing to happen). This resulted in two emails, 5 phone calls, three discussions and no tickets arriving at my flat! Read on….Two months before the gig I realised they would be dispatched to the wrong address so called to have it changed. It took the inept customer service team two emails and a phone call to grasp that I no longer had the old card details. After a mammoth security check they finally changed my address and promised that, (within 5 days of the gig) I would be sent the tickets.Four days before the gig, and with no tickets being dispatched I called them to ask why. Naturally it took them a good amount of time on an 0845 number to even find my booking. You see as I changed bank cards and moved house it means it’s impossible to locate!? I was then told they had 'just' been dispatched and would be with me within 48 hours. I mentioned my concern that this was very soon to the day, to be told in robotic monologue... they have been dispatched and will be with you in 48 hours.3 hectic days at work passed with me heading all around the UK, only for me to come back to my flat on the Thursday and find... NO TICKETS. So, on the Friday (with the concert on the Saturday) I called, waited, went through the security check that requires more clearance than Obama does to nuke Texas. Only to be told they would never be dispatched because my address had been changed! Something no Ticketmaster operator had told me at any point along this beautiful 2 month relationship – they then said it was probably my fault because I had the cheek to move address! Even though I followed all their useless instructions to a T - as I type this I am still awaiting a call back from them to tell me exactly why, how and where my tickets are.I say again - Innept idiots, with no phone manner, no empathy and no idea what they are doing.

I have used TM many times mainly because they have a monopoly and there is no place else to buy tickets. Their service is OK but could be a lot better. One of their biggest problems is not being able to handle a large demand concert going on sale or trying to handle mutiple artists putting their tickets onsale for the first time on the same day. Often when this happens the site will crash or is very slow and you can't get access. I have lost good seats/tickets due to the site freezing, crashing or losing the information during checkout because the server timed out while waiting for a response. My other big problem with them is the many deals they have with corprate companies to hold back some of the best seats for them while the fans don't get the opportunity to purchase them unless the band has allocated some to hold for their fanclub members. For example if you are a American Express Gold Club member you can purchase good seats with little to no hassle even during a large demand sale. Many people do this with no intention of going to the show but to resell them on Ebay at a much higher price. Finally my other big problem with them and this never ceases to amaze me is the inability to get seats within the first few rows even when I have logged on and successfully gotten through to purchase tickets within the first minute or two of the start of the sale. That has happened to me more times than I can remember. One would think at some point you would get good seats logging at as soon as a sale starts but not so. I feel most of the best seats are held for season ticket holders at certain venues, American express card holders, band fanclubs, band sanctioned tour agency packages, and most of the rest of the good seats I suspect are illegally corruptly sold from TM to scalpers on the side for a profit. So good luck getting good seats but you may have better luck decideing how much more you would be willing to pay to see your favorite artists from a respectable distant and go see whats available on Ebay within the first minute of the tickets officially going on sale on Ticketmaster. Rather curious how that happens isn't it when the tickets have allegidly just gone on sale to everyone. So is TM any good you say? Well it really doesn't matter since their monopoly makes them the only one to deal with unless you go the scalper/ticket agency route.

I have used this site many times and it is reliable and honest.

Used them for the first time earlier this year for 3 separate sets of tickets. All went like clockwork. One concert was cancelled and we received email notifying of the cancellation and a refund was received about 2 weeks later. Would use them again.

TICKETMASTER IS TERRIBLE! A few months ago we ordered tickets to a major cultural exhibition. Of course Ticketmaster had a monopoly on ticket sales. The day before our scheduled tickets a close friend had a fatal stroke. We were unable to attend so I contacted Ticketmaster about rescheduling. I wasn't asking for a refund since we really wanted to see the exhibition. After considerable effort I was able to contact Ticketmaster. their representative was very rude and unsympathetic. She informed me in no uncertain terms that they COULD NOT and WOULD NOT reschedule the tickets (although the exhibition lasted for six more months)! Although I didn't ask for refund she also emphasized that they would not refund the purchase price. IN THE FUTURE I WILL NOT ATTEND ANY EVENTS CONNECTED WITH TICKETMASTER. I would advise that you do the same.

Prices suck. The tickets do come fast in the mail. . .other than that, I hate dealing with this company.

Takes FOREVER to get a response. I know that part of it could be the computer's fault, but I don't think that's the main problem. Also, they are not very clear on what information they need. We started to order concert tickets via fan club membership, and they asked for a password. The password the fan club members were given was not the one in the ticketmaster databanks. That was a pretty lame situation to say the least.

This rating is for both Ticketmaster Online and Ticketmaster in general. The ONLY reason I ever use Ticketmaster is when they are the ONLY place I can get a ticket for a concert I want to see. I will do anything to avoid using their service, but unfortunately, they have a monopoly. Their service charges are ridiculous, especially for the cheaper concerts. A lot of the shows I like to go to are for smaller bands whose tickets cost about $14 for general admission. After "Ticketmonster" adds their outrageous service charges, the price is more like $24. Ten dollars in service fees may not seem like much when you get $100 tickets, but when it nearly doubles the price of the ticket, you start to get a little angry. The site is not very useful at all, either. If the site crashes after you enter the purchasing information (which happens often), you have to call a LONG DISTANCE number to make sure they got your order, and you usually end up waiting on hold for at least 20 minutes. While you're on hold, they play annoying things like "did you know you can use our website to purchase your tickets?". Talk about rubbing salt in a wound! Ugh! If you can, call the venue and purchase the tickets from the box office to be picked up at Will Call instead!

Ticketmaster Online is not the place to get good tickets. They don't tell you anything about the show, and their search engene doesn't work. You should go to the following websites for good service: www.broadway.com www.playbill.com www.telecharge.com

This is a good place to get tickets when you really need to get them early, that's why I give it a rating of 3 and not a 1. They have many additional fees that aren't too obvious until you pay. I would recommend looking for another place to buy tickets where there are less fees.

Ticketmaster is cool. I like going to concerts so Ticketmaster is where I like shopping.
magellan 11/16/2000
The worst. The site does not work, errors all over the place, and lots of "page not found" messages. How can your business be selling concert tickets and not have a functional e-commerce site? Some start-up needs to come in and kick ticketmaster's archaic ass. I am sitting on hold on the telephone as I write this... how lame is that.

Slow. Expensive. Too hard to get on when a lot of people are using it.

I tried to buy Dave Matthews tickets online thinking that it would be fast and easy. I woke up early on Sat. morning and had the computer all ready. At exactly 10am I had great seats lined up and had my credit card number input. I pressed enter and the computer froze. I couldn't get back onto the site. The whole site went down. If you are going to offer to sell tickets online, you can't have that happen. The phone lines were jammed and I never got the tickets. I am still extremely bitter about the situation. That is just unacceptable.

This company is horrible. They don't offer tickets to several shows that people are interested in. Trying to order and find info. is impossible. They are definately the masters of the ticket industry. They just disgust me when it comes to music merchandise namely tickets their service is horrible.
artbuf 05/11/2000
The service fees are excessive, but I did receive my tickets on time.
nank3393om 03/27/2000
a nightmare to get into; site boots you off if you don't type your payment info fast enough; & like the real world ticketmaster, tickets for several events go on sale at the same time on the same day. if it takes longer to get the tickets than the length of the event, is it worth it?
nbas696du 01/07/2000
They're still jackin' the prices of tickets.

Ticketmaster is VERY helpful on the web; information fast and reliable.
