I placed an order with ecampus.com because I could not find my college textbooks anywhere else for less than my campus bookstore was selling them, which is typical. Neither Barnes & Noble nor Amazon had them. Afterward I did a research review on ecampus, and found it to be dismal.Personally, I think they're being picked on, although I have no doubt that at least some of the reviews that I read are true.I contacted ecampus and told them about their track record. I let them know how much it sucked. They did not respond to my allegations about their so-called dismal service but I did get a "Thank You for shopping at ecampus," followed up by how my order was doing and when it was shipped etc.Frankly, I don't know what the accusations on the internet are all about. Maybe their competitors are just trying to give them a hard time. That, of course, can be a two-way street. I got good service from ecampus.I think all you need to do, basically, is let ecampus know that you have researched their service, let them know that people are saying it stinks, and give them an adequate amount of time to get your books to you.I think they will bend over backwards to get a good review from you, as they seemed to do with me, since providing college textbooks is such a competitive business, especially in today's economy. No one wants to go out of business just because their former customers think they stink and have gone elsewhere. If you need your books by March 15 and it's now March 14, it's not gonna happen, no matter who you order from.If you absolutely positively have to have a book or books in 24 hours or less, and you live in the U.S., I'll be more than happy to deliver it to your doorstep personally, at $1.50 per mile.I told ecampus when I needed my books and that if I got them on time, I would give them glowing reviews plastered all over the internet about how happy I am. That's what I'm doing right now.I ordered on October 21, told them about their track record, and stated that I needed my books by November 2. I got the first set of my books several days ago, and the last book showed up on my doorstep either sometime yesterday, or sometime this morning. This book was listed as "used," as I ordered it. It is in good shape, but there is some writing and highlighting in it.So I've got some answers to some of the review questions, and class hasn't even started yet. High five! All in all, I found ecampus's ordering and shipping service to be excellent. They got my order to me at least 4 days ahead of my schedule, and I get to have a stress free weekend.

This site was easy to use and had lots of options. I used their textbook rental service, I didnt even know you could do that! I saved ALOT of money and it was definitely worth my time.

My experience with ecampus.com has been nothing but positive. I bought my textbooks through them instead of the campus bookstore this year and saved almost $100. I received my books on time for class and they were in the condition described. Good site and good value!

They have a lifetime rating of 1.14 out of 10 on another site. Wish I'd checked more thoroughly before placing my order. The best I can do is put this review everywhere I can think of. I ordered Jul 31, 2007 and got an email the next day saying "We expect that Shipment Number 4278332 is expected to ship no later than Aug 10 2007 making your estimated delivery date no later than Aug 15 2007." On Aug 10 I got an email stating the following, "At this time we still expect to fill your order and shipping should occur soon. Delayed items are usually received within a few business days beyond the anticipated arrival date." Still expect to fill my order??? They damn better!! Classes start tomorrow, Aug 22, and I have no books. The status of my order is "On Order" so it looks like I am in for one of those long waits I've read about in other reviews. The only thing I can say positive is the office supplies I ordered came timely even though I chose the "send all items together to save on shipping" option. But even this they messed up. One of the highlighters was of the same brand as what I ordered and paid for, but without the pocket clip, so is presumably cheaper. I hope I don't get charged for shipping WHENEVER the rest of the order is sent. As far as order numbers, etc. I have a multitude to choose from. I don't know how they keep things straight. My conf. email says Shipment Number 4278331 and Order Number 4981090. With my partial shipment, the packing slip says Invoice Number 4278331, Purchase Order Number 5177909, and Order Number 5177909-9003, which is the same as the Packing Slip Number. When on their site, the Order Number is 4981090. Apparently these guys have no idea how to do business, and sell items they can't acquire.

I am still waiting for books I sold to this site in October 2005.

I ordered a book from them over a month ago. One college test went by and still no book. Over the many days of emails back and forth, assuring me that they had the book, they canceled the order saying they didn't have it. Prices are the best around if you have a month or so to spare. Kristina Thompson, a customer service rep, was very helpful near the end of the ordeal.

I ordered a DVD - for a birthday present mind you - over 2 months ago. I even paid extra shipping, which I don't normally do, just so it would come on time. Well after 2 months of waiting, and several emails to Customer Service, which by the way was no help, they ignored all the questions I had for them, and I told them I would never do business with them again. The least they could have done when they realized they wouldn't be able to send my order is to email me and give me the option to cancel order and go elsewhere. I didn't get that answer till way too late. I would never recommend ecampus.com to anyone ever. I see from ratings that I am not the only one this happened to. I love shopping on the internet and this by far was my WORST EXPERIENCE EVER!!!!!

Ecampus did not deliver my order by the time that they said they would and their customer service over the phone was terrible! I couldn't get anywhere with their automated system...it disconnected me 3 times, and when I finally just went through a person, they put me on hold forever!

Good store to buy books from. There is free shipping and handling always. They could have a better selection. Prices are reasonably cheap.

EXCELLENT site! I have not heard about ecampus before seeing it on RateItAll and I hopped over there to check it out. Found a great Terps hat for my husband..it is difficult to find any U of Maryland merchandise here in NY and ecampus's prices were much cheaper than the school's online bookstore..Great prices..fast and easy, they stand by their motto! And you can't beat free shipping!

This site is awesome! It was a pleasure to find lower prices than at the regular bookstore and have everything shipped for free. By the way, they have funny ads too!
