Slow shipping. I ordered several items - 2 from ebay - over Labor Day weekend. I received both ebay items, from different parts of the country, by Thursday after Labor Day. I received my Esprit item on Friday. BR emailed on Friday to say my item will arrive in 4 to 9 business days. Really? You can't get the items out your doors any quicker? I hope the quality is better than the service.

They charge Banana Republic prices and provide Old Navy quality clothing in exchange. I have been disappointed by the quality of everything I have bought there... t-shirts that look old after one washing, $150 dresses that fall apart at the seams...

Unfortunately they are not good on returns either. So while the clothes look beautiful when you buy them - you wear them once and they start to fall apart, then you try to take it back due to poor quality and you obviously have no luck b/c you've taken the tags off and worn it.

Save yourself the time, money, and trouble and shop at Forever 21. The quality of clothes is just about the same unfortunately.

Worst customer service ever.  Online stores never work.  They send you birthday coupons for $15, which at first seems very nice, but they never work.  When you complain to them, they tell you to contact the bank that makes the card.  I was once a loyal shopper of BR; however, time and time again they've proved they care nothing for their customers.  I've cut up my LUXE BR card and now shop mainly at J Crew and Anthropologie, where customer service is soooo much better.

I needed shorts fast, I'm in college, and I have no car. So I ordered some on bananarepublic.com which has reasonable prices especially for a luxury brand. The biggest advantage for me though was that they have excellent, fast shipping. It's surprisingly cheap. And of course the clothes are top-notch. I also had no problems with the site being too "fancy." I thought it was very well laid out.

I don't like BR online. I like to go to the actual store and see everything. I go to the site occasionally to see if they have any good deals but they don't even offer any good deals online. Half the reason I go to store sites online is to get deals. No deals here.

I love Banana Republic, their style is casual but sexy. Check out the stores women's and men's store in SF downtown. The quality of products if very good. Also, usually the sale items have good prices. Don't miss out!!! Furthermore, the line extension to house products is great (expensive but great). I have not check out their website, but hopefully they got some good deals.

I like the clothes at the store, but I am bitter because I did not get a job there when I applied while in college. Here is why: they administered one of those personality/honesty tests. I was younf and naive and answered all of the questions as honest as I could (how much I drank a week in college, I had taken $5 out of my Mom's purse at some point in my life-sorry Mom, and the list goes on). Needless to say, honesty was not the best policy and I did not get the job because of that damn test. All of the people that work there now must either be perfect or liars. Still, the site is OK.

The site has a fancy, high-graphic design, but who cares? I don't want to sit around and wait for pages to load, I just want to see the clothes and decide whether or not to buy them. And the Banana Republic Web site has a crappy selection. Why wouldn't the site offer everything the company makes? The whole experience isn't nearly as quick and easy as it needs to be.
