06/04/2008 | I used to go there a lot more than I do now. I still end up reading an article or two on About.com every now and then, but I'm usually finding my way there from some link, and not going directly to the site to find content.

04/08/2004 | Whenever I search for something using About.com, I get results so extensive that it takes several days, even weeks to look through all of them. There is a load of useful and/or fascinating information that can be found with this site (with a few little surprises here and there). I highly recommend About.com for research. The only drawback: the top frame. They do have the option to turn it off, but I wish they would just skip the frame altogether. That would really save on some time.

12/14/1999 | Most portals are boring carbon copies of each other. I was pleasantly surprised by about.com -- their tactic of employing real live human guides really does differentiate them.
