I really don't care for stadiums that are used for both football and baseball. Don't ask me why, I just don't. The Marlins have won two Series- in '97, largely with a bunch of high priced mercenaries that they promptly dumped, and in '03 with a real dark horse team of mostly youngsters. Most of the rest of the time they've been either ordinary or bad. There are some good young players on the squad, but the field isn't very good. Since the team always has a bargain basement, microscopic payroll and usually has mostly has beens, kids, reclamation projects, and other obscurities on the roster they might want to rename this park Who the hell are these Pro Players? Stadium.

Nothing bad about this stadium but nothing good either. Seats are configured for football rather than baseball, and rain delays are frequent, so watch the forecast. Day games can be unbearable because of the heat, so stick to night games if you can.

This stadium is horrible. The Marlins need to hurry and get that new stadium built quickly.

A lot of complaints about Pro Player Stadium as a baseball stadium is the size and shape of the stadium. PPS is among the biggest ball parks out there with the longest length of the field (from home base to the furthest point in the outfield) ranging at about 422ft. I like the idea of a bigger ball field. It makes it harder for the long-ball hitters to hit home runs. With a majority of sluggers using steroids today, baseball has become less interesting to watch in smaller ball fields. Home-run base games are about as exciting, or even less, as watching a pitcher's duel, which most regular sports fans detest. The more in the park hits, the more exciting the game becomes. The field situation is a blessing in disguise for the MLB league of today.

Marlins did the best they could with given the circumstances of Joe Robbie... I mean Pro Player stadium. When they new park is hopefully built Miami will be a great setting for the park.

It's a good stadium for football, but it's not that good for baseball

Pro Player is great but it needs to be slightly better decorated. It has a very raw look.

Once the Marlins' new park is built, I'm sure it will get a '5'.
