The Best thing that can be said about her is that she is not Barbara Boxer (California's other senator). One half of the Democratic duo that billed themselves at The Cagney and Lacey of the U.S. Senate. Off the top of my head, the only American female politicians I hate more are Maxine Waters, Hillary Clinton and Boxer.

She has done nothing for California, before she left office in San Francisco she drove all the military out of the area which was a blow to the economy. Where was Di and Babs when the state was being fleeced by the likes of Enron and Gray was running the State into the ground.

Unlike her uncivil, party-towing, divisive, disrespectful peer in the Senate, Barbara Boxer, Dianne Feinstein has been a good U.S. Senator for Californians. I really do not agree with most of what she says, but she can at least be a professional (something Boxer isn't). She is, above all, a woman who believes in what she says and usually follows through. For this, she deserves to be respected.

Dianne Feinstein is exactly whats wrong with America. She supports Abortion which is a sick and evil practice, in my opinion no different from murder. She helped author the 1994 assualt weapons ban. Which was absolute nosense, that does not keep criminals from having military style weapons it just keeps law abidding citizens from having the right to protect themselves. Criminals still have machine guns and they have been banned since the 1930's. Even to look at her website you can see what a deviant she is.

I'm a Republican but I have to say that I respect Dianne Feinstein as a Senator - she truly has a mind of her own and doesn't always vote the party line, which is how it should be. When you see her speak, you get the feeling that she really knows what she's talking about and would be just fine without her notes in front of her, unlike some of her colleagues who really have no clue what's going on unless they read the speech their staff prepared for them.

Not perfect, but she has been the best I've seen at this level of government for communications and responsibility to her constituents. Much more often than other legislators, she votes her conscience even when it's not identical to her party's position.

Dianne Feinstein is a fantasic woman and a great legislator. She was elected to the Senate by a larger majority than any other female in history, and serves on numerous committees that have to deal with foreign relations and fighting terrorism. She is a leading advocate of finding a cure for Breast Cancer, and fought hard for the passage of the 1994 Crime Bill which banned the manufacturing of certain assault weapons. She also protected nearly 7 million of California's lands in her environmental package. I admire her for being more centric on the issues than some of her colleagues. She's a great woman!

I think that Dianne Feinstein is a fine legislator; albeit I do not agree with her on some issues. She is posed, intelligent and is relatively independent when making decisions. Let us remember that she did vote for the Bush tax cut which is project to spur the overall GNP by 1/2, that is significant. Senator Feinstein did the right thing despite taking heat from her own party. She isn't the most liberal Democrat and that is good, just like I think it isn't good to be the most conservative Republican. I'm not for the mushy moderates, but you do have to have principle. Dianne Feinstein has it, she does what she thinks is right for her country.
