Fujitsu LifeBook Series 5

I've been very happy with the Fujitsu Lifebook T Series. It's a tablet so I can flip the screen around and use it as a notebook on sales calls. It will recognize your writing and turn it into text as well if you write neatly. I don't utilize that feature. Logisitically I have had no problems whatsoever and I've had it since August.

nothing but problems with my purchase, 4 times the monitor has gone out on me,
they sent me a new laptop and that one went out on me also
I've never had one work for more than 3 months
finally they just said tough luck and refused to take care of their own garbage
so I'm out $1500 and stuck with a display in the largest shopping mall in Northern California where I own two stores. My Fujitsu with a huge sign on it that says " Don't Waste your Money"
I do have the satisfaction of knowing that over 25,000 to 50,000 people a day are warned not to buy a Fujitsu.

Wife has one and it has been totally reliable - N series Lifebook. Outstanding video display, which is what sold her on the unit. Only negative is I have had problems doing some DVD copying with the combo drive. However, I had the same problems with every OEM drive in the house and solved it by installing a high-end internal Sony DVD drive for my desktop. No complaints at all with this unit and the price was not out of market. Wife is not a power user - e-mail, surfing and light word processing is about all she does with it, so she really hasn't tested the capabilities of the machine.

I think the English translation for Fujitsu means non working piece of crap. I have had nothing but problems with mine. Most recently I lost all my notes needed for upcoming test due to the machine deciding it no longer wanted to start up. The machine has already spent time back at the manufacturer for repair (2 month absence) and has been home now for less than a month. It is to late to return for refund. My advice would be to not waste money on this product.

This is impressive... I don't own one but find it most surprsing that my mother was given a Fujitsu to replace her Toshiba at one of the world's top business school's, just before her trip to Beijing to interview some prospective MBA's. They have historically been pro-IBM for PC's and Toshiba for Notebook's but I see this is changing. Compared to some of the products I've used and sell in retail, this has impressive characteristics. Pretty surprising...

Sleek design, very fast at an affordable price. It has a touch panel for easy access to email and the wireless mouse is very handy. Good price for all the features.

I own a Fujitsu LifeBook 790FX. I especially like the fact that it came with a three year warranty/guarantee. I've had to send it in once. I've also had to have the CDROM drive replaced but overall I find it a pretty durable, dependable unit.

I love my Lifebook! It's dark blue, has a great, unique pointing system (eraser and touchpad are too fast for me), and has an incredible quality screen- better than the monitor I have at home. It is kind of heavy- but 3 yr. excellent service warranty makes up for that.

Though the one my friend owns is old, this computer is nevertheless economical, efficient and a space saver. He bought it online, so there's always a deal around the corner.

Fujitsu notebooks are along the same bad lines as Apple- over-complicated.

My first laptop was a Fijitsu and I had it for about a week before I went back to get a refund. I got it because the price was good. My machine was flawed. It could have been a freak instance that I got a flawed machine, but my confindence dropped in Fujitsu after that.

For some reason I have a really strong desire to give this computer a terrible rating but I don't really have a good reason to do so and in fact I've had a very good experience with their customer service which makes it even tougher to justify a bad rating. I don't like the touch pad I think it's awkward to use, and overly sensitive so that's a negative but maybe it's gotten better since the year of the model I had (about 3 years ago). As for the customer service..I had the computer for less than a year when a cat climbed up on it and when I went to shove that rodent off my keyboard it extended it's claws and ripped the tops off of 3 keys breaking the rear snaps on one of them. That's so like a cat isn't it. I called customer service and actually spoke to a person and didn't have to wait on hold for 1/2 an hour and they just said to send the whole unit back and they'd replace it for free, even the shipping. So I guess a good rating is the least I can do. Damn cats.

This laptop is very convenient and affordable. Many of my friends who have left for college chose this one because it came with useful programs, and was not very expensive. It has an active matrix screen which is much better than a HPA screen because the picture is clearer. Also, this laptop is good for basic functions: AOL, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.

We have a Fujitsu at home and my mom uses it for her business every week. Ilike the price of it and how it looks, but most importantly we haven't had any problems with it.

This notebook was terrible because I used it in the school library a couple times, and not only was it slower than a sloth, it wasn't internet explorer compatible.

Just goes to show how ignorant most people really are....this is the same as the IBM; almost all notebooks are made by only 4 manufacturers anyway in Taiwan...Giving a good rating to an IBM and bad to a Fujitsu is like saying the Chevy Camaron stinks but he Olds trans am is really great; marketting.
