This company is not honest. It looses things you send it and then bills you. It says it did not receive my rebate. It also says it didn't receive a hard disk my cousin sent back after their fifth (yes, 5th) mistaken attempt to send him a replacement part for something that broke (he finally gave up) and is billing him for it. If you MUST buy Gateway, don't buy direct, but rather from a reputable store where you can take the product in if something is wrong.

GREAT SERVICE AND GREAT QUALITY!

Although I have never witnessed any problems with the computer's hardware of software, the connection to the computer's modem to a phone line is ridiculous. Instead of a phone card going directly into the notebook (like the Sony VAIO), a connection device is used to connect the computer with the phone card. I have witnessed this little connector break twice, just by some light bumping. In order to purchase a new one, you have to order it and wait a few days for it to be shipped, which is inconvenient.

I like Gateway computers because of their guarantee and I can trade it in for a newer computer in 2 years. I haven't had many problems with my Gateway yet so I don't know how good they are at keeping their gaurantees.

I use a Gateway solo series and I like it. It is very small compared to others. It has never failed on me. It has a hard cover so it feels strong.

My friend has a Gateway laptop and it works great. The only drawback is the high cost, but I guess it is worth it as it is reliable.

This notebook is the best. I used my friends to make my fake ID, and it was quick and didn't freeze at all. There are also many upgrades, and who can't beat Gateways customer service?

Custom made and made to please. I have a Solo and it is possibly the best computer I have ever had. DVD playbacks are smooth and fast. Solo have a good reputation and are well known. Although somewhat high prices compared to HP or IBM. They are worth the extra bucks.

light weight and easy to transport. Easy to use. It is user friendly and it is very fast and has a lot of memory. It has a nice big screen and contains a lot of programs.

I am planning on buying one soon. I've heard only great things about this computer.

Gateway by far, makes the best laptops and desktop computers! They're small, and easy to fold up and unlike Sonys laptops they never fail on you no matter how long a period you're on them.

The Gateway Solo 9150 is hard to beat for a desktop replacement. It's a little big with the 15" screen to carry everywhere, but the features and battery life are fantastic. I would buy another Gateway notebook without hesitation. The UBID price for a new computer was amazing! At the regular retail price, I still would have considered this computer.

I'm definitely happy with my decision to buy another Gateway (I bought a desktop 6 years ago when I went to business school). The screen is big and the computer is fast. My only complaint is with the touch pad. When I dock my computer into the port replicator (with the mouse plugged in), the pad is not turned off. As a result, every time I inadvertantly tap it, the cursor jumps to wherever the pointer is on the screen.

Gateway is a good computer company and builds good laptops.

As with all the computers, they have great services, and tech support.
