I bought one Omnibook 500. The hard disk was bad so I returned it. The replacement wouldn't function in the expansion base. Ended up returning everything. HP service was middling to poor. The laptop looks great...on paper.

Depending on what you have, most HP OmniBooks are built with a Pentium processor and enough RAM and HD space for business minded individuals. The OmniBook is very light since the floppy is not integrated with the laptop. The only backslide of OmniBook is it gets very hot after a few hours of using it. There's no legs to allow air flow under the device. Great customer service!!!

My friend bought a HP OmniBook thinking it was good, considering HP's reputation in printers. Unfortunately, the hard disk crashed 1 year after he bought it.

Very expensive, but you get what you paid for.

This notebook is quite okay, but in my opinion it is too expensive for the components used. It has neither cool features, nor small dimensions. And the worst is it does not fully support linux OS.

This notebook is so good. I have one, but I bought it used. The price is too high. Students cannot afford it, but it's for students because they can really benefit by using it.
