My dad just bought one and it works well. RAM is only expandable to 128 and that's not enough. Maybe 1000 MB. Should be fine. The monitor is not as big as I think it should be.

They are pretty lightweight. They are reliable. There are a lot of options which you can do.

IBM is reliable, slim and the service is without question. For the first year, if you have problems with it and you're on a business trip, you leave it at one airport and pick it up at the next.

Not a bad computer, but highly priced. If you got the money, buy one. Great screen resolution.

I WON A THINKPAD AND ITS A GREAT NOTEBOOK. I ALSO OWN A DESKTOP THAT I PERSONALLY BUILT AND THIS NOTEBOOK ENT WITH ITS LIMITATIONS REVIVALS MY OWN DESKTOP. THE CELERON 500 MHZ AND 64MB RAM AND 6GB HARDDRIVE IS A GOOD PACKAGE DEAL. PROGRAMS ARE CUSTOMIZABLE TO YOUR NEEDS THOUGH IBM. A GREAT BUY.

Though the design is a little plain, the keyboard and the monitor is definitely with it. Affordable, efficient, and high quality. This computer should be ideal for students who do a lot of writing for class.

I currently am a happy owner of an IBM thinkpad. My rating reflects that. I like it a lot. The video card is a tad whimpy and the CD-rom is a bit slow but I guess that is he only way they stretched that battery life.

A very fine and reliable computer. The only bad thing is the battery. All the other things are good, especially the mousepad.

The IBM Thinkpad notebooks are very good, inspite of the fact that they cost more than other notebooks. I like the workshops, but the battery life is poor.

The cursor movement in the middle of the keyboard is hard to use. The system locks up a lot. There is limited battery time, I think about 45 minutes.

I think it is almost as good as the I-book. I prefer Macs over IBM/Pcs.
