He seemed like a nice enough old character actor. I'm sure he is best remembered for his starring role in Fantasy Island or, as I liked to call it (and The Love Boat) Has Been Theater. That and his Rich Corinthian Leather car commercial. Can't say any of his work including the above crosses my mind very often.

This is a celebrity to miss. He did so many different things to entertain us.

Underrated ham celebrity. . .like everyone here, I loved him as Khan in Star Trek II (one of the great camp performances of the 80's) and the whole Fantasy Island-thing provides boatloads of unintentional humor. . .and he was a good villain in "Zorro"

Really , he was getting pretty old too-I loved him in Wrath of Kahn with that fat blond girl as well.

Awww, I hadn't heard he'd died. I wasn't a fan of his genre, but I recognize talent when I see it. Sad to see him go.

I always liked him. Khan was awesome, Fantasy Island was good to go, and his description of rich, Corinthian leather is epic commercial fodder.

A really classy actor, right until the very end. I especially liked him as Mr. Rourke and Kahn. His ads that he did, are also great too.R.I.P Ricardo, you'll be very sadly missed.

I'm sure when he gets into Heaven, Fernando Lamas will be there to greet him saying "You look, fffffffabulous!"

I'm sorry he's dead (I'm sorry when anyone dies), I wish him a peaceful transition to the Other Side (whatever that is), but he's not someone who ever made much of an impression on me. I may have watched 10 minutes of "Fantasy Island" way back when before writing it off as Love American Style with a midget. I saw the Star Trek movie he was in, and found it entertaining while I was watching it, but not entertaining enough that I've ever bothered to search it out again for re-watching (in fairness, I'm not a big fan of Star Trek anyway-- I can take it or leave it alone). Beyond that, I remember vaguely that he was a shill for some sort of automobile way back when; the name of said automobile escapes me now, but I remember it had "reech Corintheeean leather!" Eugene Levy used to do a dead-on and hilarious impression of him for SCTV.

I guess "ze plane, ze plane" finally landed for him....Hopefully his coffin is lined with "rich Corinthian leather"If you're my age this will mean something to you. If not, bugger off kiddo.

I've heard of Ricardo Montalban and his roles, but most of his work was before my time. Seems like he was respected by the people who grew up with him on TV.
