I too was very happy user of Meca Software's Managing Your Money (MYM) for Mac for more than 20 years and have yet to find any personal finance software to be it's equal. After migrating to Mac OS 10.4 a couple of years ago I was forced to move on with GREAT REGRET.After more than a year of struggle with Quicken for Mac I was still very dissatisfied. Several months ago I discovered a java based, cross platform personal finance application called Moneydance and it's been a big improvement over Quicken. That being said if MECA Software were to ever reintroduce Managing Your Money (MYM) to run on Mac OSX I'd gladly return along with hundreds of thousands of other very happy OSX users!MECA... I have used this on a Mac for 20 years - long after Meca stopped providing upgrades. Now I must use "Classic" in OS-X 3.9. But in OS-X5? I understand Classic will not be supported. All other personal financial software pale in comparison. Quicken - not a double book system (BTW, who needs retirement. stocks, and taxes). MS Money - same comments. QuickBooks - great if you are running a company.

I have MYM 11 (1983-94) & have been using it up to & including XP with SP2. I installed SP3 & now it won't function & after uninstalling SP3, it still won't function. So unless your ready to switch to another program, don't install SP3.

I too have used MYM for years, and still do so now on a PC running XP (version 5.1, with SP2). Works fine. Maybe critical: my version of MYM is much older = 2.1 (c) 1984-'96 (few tricks in it). Have thought about looking for a newer version, but this still does the basic stuff I need.

I've used MYM for years and I love this program. Yes, it is basic but I've tried Microsoft's money and others and my simple budget-oriented mind keeps going back to my old MYM. Help !!! Is there a version that runs well on Windows XP ? If so where do I get it ?

MYM has been my money program for years. I work on Mac OS10, which still operates Classic OS9, but unless someone figures a way to get MYM to work on OS10 or later, I may never upgrade my computer! This is an important program in my life and it's hard to believe no one is handling it.

I, too, think this is a very good program. With it, I can keep track of all my expenses, including exactly what the expenditure was for. I'm running a Mac version, which still runs under OS-9 but am having problems with occasional database corruption, which is frustrating. No other software I've seen allows for the annotation that I want. I'd love a way to solve the problem and maybe a version that would run under either Mac OS-X or Windows XP. Please?

I used this program for years, but finally "upgraded" to a computer which would not support MYM. MYM is a very good, basic, money tracking and managing system. The key word here is "basic". The modern money managing software tries to be all things to all people and usually fails causing frustration to the poor user. If only MECA would upgrade the Managing Your Money software to run on the modern Windows Operating Systems. Not upgrade the function, mind you, but only the ability to operate in today's environment. I'll be first in line to buy the "new" version. A.J. Risser Watertown, WI
