This is a good series for kids 7-11 or so. It is really fun to try and catch the criminals before your time runs out, and it's also fun to see how your rating goes up over time. It is quite surpising, too, to see how much you can learn about all the different countries while playing this game. The only problem is that it's not a game you will want to re-play again and again, after catching Carmen Sandiego.

Geography is fun!! well, not really, but this game makes it so! and any game based on that show starring Lynn Thigpin and A Capella deserves a good rating.... the character Top Grunge who kept stealing the great barrier reef and holing up in Brussels...he kinda reminds me of an exboyfriend...

I am going to kill Carmen Sandiego with my vicious Pikachu i got in Pokemon Snap. Stop running away. If you are trying to train your kids into being little womanizing stalkers buy this game. It links to porn sights, which was nice, but not appropriate. This game must be banished from your house unless you want naked people on your computer. SUBMIT

Unfortunately I haven't played either of the CS Geography games, but I've played the History, Math, and Language ones, and let me tell you, they're terrific! It got me through my worst years of school and made learning fun for me. The animation is terrific, and it makes learning really fun! It has adjustable difficulty levels and can be admired from a game standpoint as well. My only gripes are that the History game (my favorite one of the bunch) isn't as historically accurate as it should be, but it points out the small discrepancies that are made in the manual and corrects them. I would recommend this to all kids who are having trouble in any of these subjects, or who want to brush up on them. They're entertaining and educational.

Carmen Sandiego is a fun game, but is doesn't teach your child ANYTHING! Your child has to be at least 10 years old to understand the concepts of using logic, and a lot of 10 year olds even have trouble doing that. It is a fun game, but aren't we trying to learn a lession here?

Geography, problem solving..definitely for the child maybe 8-10. Great feeling of accomplishment for kids..and a great reward for paying attention and following instruction.
