A nice variety of activities and lots of playability. Best part--all of those great School House Rock songs you loved as a kid! You know there's nothing like music to "stick" something into your head. Have *you* ever forgotten the Preamble to the Constitution?

School House Rock is fun and can be educational as a reinforcement tool. I would not use it as a pre-teaching exercise or as my only way of teaching about a subject. As reinforcement, it works very well. As a way to let students work individually or in pairs to review ideas and details, it is a great motivating tool. Paula Owen

I'm extremly sorry and embarrassed to be the first one to say that this series won't help your child, but it really doesn't. Your child learnf if he or she has fun doing it, and Schoolhouse Rock ONLY focuses on teaching your child and not encouraging them to make the right choices. It has bad animation, which isn't good because your child is attracted by bright and colorful things and this isn't. Your child won't understand it because it is set up as a musical, in which some of the words cannot be heard.
