I have a Mustek 600-EP which is about 3 years old. It works fine for me, my husband used to work at Staples and says it isnt the best quality. I use it with Microsoft Photodraw software. I have used it mostly to duplicate documents and pictures for genealogy work I am doing. I also scanned in some photos of my husband and I and printed them on thick color paper. They are kind of dark, but otherwise suitable for framing.

Excellent quality on the 1200 EP. However, some particular models have a black background which makes it difficult to crop and select areas based on color.

This is a costly scanner. In my opinion it's better than Fujitsu. It could scan high DPI if you were to scan pictures.

This scanner does its job, but has poorly written software. The software is difficult to use for PC illiterates, and the interface is dated. For those with basic computer knowledge, the scanner is decent quality.

This scanner was horrible. It ended up leaving a blue line in everything I scanned in. I think it was a defect. I ended up returning it.

This is also a crappy scanner. Both my parents and my sister had a Mustek scanner, but they later got rid of them because they scan slow and have a poor image quality.

Easy to use and relatively inexpensive. From a beginners standpoint, it is easy to learn how to operate, scan photos or send faxes.

It's okay for a scanner. The product design wasn't as good as other printers. It was also kind of slow, but I guess it is worth its price.
