I've always been a loyal ViewSonic user. Great, reliable monitors at a good price.I highly recommend ViewSonic monitors.

Great monitors with clear,crisp, distorion free images. We got a 17in (Viewable Image Size) flat screen (Not LCD) for onder 100 bucks at tigerdirect.com! very nice place to buy computer equipment. This monitor was a refurb and it has some funky lines though a small portion of it, but it can be fixed. It also dont seem to drain your energy that much like other conventional CRT monitors. It is true that CRT monitors can drain energy from you! The OSD has a lot of options for picture geometry,contrast/brightness,focus,color,hooking,an d more. I prefer the OSD's cause you can get a guage on what settings are which in a numerical value. It is really not all that heavy for a 17 inch VIS CRT monitor. I also found it is completly RedHat Linux 9 compatible! We "probed" for the monitor and it was the exact model! That was a releif... that way we dont have to go into lower resolutions or color modes or "generic" monitor mode! Great monitor at a great price.

Dot pitch is tight, with a good graphics card. This thing is a wonder.

Affordable monitors that won't blow you away, but won't disappoint you either. The interface to adjust the settings is easy to use and intuitive. The resolution is good but not great, and it seems to handle different screen sizes pretty well. One minor hassle, these monitors don't have slots on the side to hang speakers.
