In the field which i work, ewb design and development, good navigation is the top priority. What good is a ecommerce website if no one knows how to buy something?

If your site is not clear, your customers can really get lost! I've seen several sites like that, they ahve a bad nav,but good prices and they get less customers than a good nav, with hi-prices. that's strange so this is a mixed rating, I do think a nav needs to be good, but I also think sites shouldn't be fully judged on thier look.

It's not really a concern to me, as long as I find what I want at a valuable price. Of course, it's important however, that the website displays a professional looking interface. This is helpful in stablishing an image for the company.
